A different location for me

I have been staying in Chicago for years and found this hotel different from the mainstream as well as ideally located... Sky bar was not available one night due to weather but was open for guests on Sunday evening. Fun staff and easy going

Retirement Celebration Weekend

Usually we stay at Bed and Breakfasts…looking for something besides a chain hotel room. Our next choice is a Boutique and IVY fit our expectations above and beyond. Every little touch from the "waterfall" shower to the European comforter to the electric drapery switch was enjoyed. And; of course the roof top bar with the very friendly staff and wonderful view was great. The location is perfect for north loop shopping, eating, proximity to Navy Pier, and the Driehaus Museum will have us returning soon.

It is just a short walk to explore all of the side streets to find wonderful fountains, parks, and historic buildings.

Amazing all around

We live in Chicago and stayed here on our engagement night. I booked a king suite for the special occasion, and the room was beautiful! The bathroom itself is worth it for the price. The turn down service in the evening was a nice surprise to come back to after dinner and drinks, and the cookies and next day weather forecast that the housekeeping staff left was a nice bonus as well. Also, the Sky Terrace is amazing! It's a nice escape from the busy streets downtown. The location of the hotel itself is also great and convenient to many things. All the staff we encountered were nothing but professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your next trip to Chicago or your next stay-cation! As an FYI, I previously heard about the expensive parking option with the hotel, so we looked for discounted parking online and found a garage a block away for a lot cheaper.

Wonderful stay

Ivy is a super boutique hotel. Rooms are very comfortable, modern and sparklingly clean. It is very conveniently location in the heart of the city, close to top restaurants, Mag Mile shopping and all the great sites of Chicago. This is our third visit to Chicago and Ivy Hotel is one of the best establishment to stay.

Cool and Convenient

This is a great choice if you want to get away from the large downtown hotels which are pricier and a bit more generic. The Ivy is new, very clean, conveniently located and supplies a lot of nice little touches. The beds, showers and temperature controls are really first class. The keys which one needs to operate the elevator as well as to enter the rooms can be annoying and mine had to be replaced after losing its touch.

Luxury conveniently centrally located

From start to finish the staff were incredible. Helpful, friendly, efficient and caring. The standard queen room had hardwood floors and an amazing bathroom. The shower was by far the best part. I would definitely recommend anyone stay here. The convenient location near the University,Lake and a ton of restaurants makes up for their lack of in house gym or pool.

My favorite Chicago hotel

I travel to Chicago several times a year, and I always check to see if there are rooms available at the Ivy. They've been open less than two years, so everything is still in very good condition. An incredibly courteous staff, spacious and comfortable rooms, the best hotel showers I've experienced, and extremely conveniently located. You're a block and a half off of Michigan Ave. for shopping, very close to a wide range of restaurants ranging from pricey to inexpensive, less than a mile's walk from the major theatres. I honestly can not recommend the Ivy enough.
