Nice trendy hotel close to Michigan avenue. Stayed here overnight for a wedding and it was perfect. Beds could be more comfortable. Great bathroom and shower. Would go back there again.

Great place

Excellent, comfortable rooms and great service. Rooms were a bit noisy due to a party next door but the staff took care of it immediately after a call to the front desk, even moved me for the next night as the same guests were in the next room.

A True Hidden Gem for a Botique Hotel

This has all the makings of a nice small hotel catered to it's guests. When you arrive in your room soon after your given 2 little treats and asked about your needs and what the hotel has to offer. The rooftop bar is nice with a small but tasty food selection. Since the building is not that tall the view is ok. The room is set up perfect with large full featured shower with a true overhead rainfall shower with plenty of pressure and a seperate large bath. It had a sperate living/work area and in the middle the king size bed with a true large screen wall tilt and pull out to be closer than any other hotel around. I will be back in the future.

Great place as long as your room is above the 2nd Floor

We had a great experience at The Ivy! Our first room on the second floor smelled of sewage so we were moved to the 11th floor and it was much better. I recommend trying the rooftop bar, it was a lot of fun!

A different location for me

I have been staying in Chicago for years and found this hotel different from the mainstream as well as ideally located... Sky bar was not available one night due to weather but was open for guests on Sunday evening. Fun staff and easy going

Retirement Celebration Weekend

Usually we stay at Bed and Breakfasts…looking for something besides a chain hotel room. Our next choice is a Boutique and IVY fit our expectations above and beyond. Every little touch from the "waterfall" shower to the European comforter to the electric drapery switch was enjoyed. And; of course the roof top bar with the very friendly staff and wonderful view was great. The location is perfect for north loop shopping, eating, proximity to Navy Pier, and the Driehaus Museum will have us returning soon.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

It is just a short walk to explore all of the side streets to find wonderful fountains, parks, and historic buildings.

Amazing all around

We live in Chicago and stayed here on our engagement night. I booked a king suite for the special occasion, and the room was beautiful! The bathroom itself is worth it for the price. The turn down service in the evening was a nice surprise to come back to after dinner and drinks, and the cookies and next day weather forecast that the housekeeping staff left was a nice bonus as well. Also, the Sky Terrace is amazing! It's a nice escape from the busy streets downtown. The location of the hotel itself is also great and convenient to many things. All the staff we encountered were nothing but professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your next trip to Chicago or your next stay-cation! As an FYI, I previously heard about the expensive parking option with the hotel, so we looked for discounted parking online and found a garage a block away for a lot cheaper.
