Contemporary style, European charm in Chicago

The rooms and suites at the Inn of Chicago feel more like apartments than hotel rooms, and that’s on purpose. Back in the 1920s, the former Hotel St. Clair offered one-bedroom apartments, and the effects linger today at the Inn of Chicago. Great Location, Great Price, Modern Gem

We have stayed on multiple ocassions (and for several consecutive days at this hotel and it does it's job wonderfully. Great location, convenient to nearly any train, bus or within walking distances to just about any activitiy.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a decent Marshalls and Homegoods store just a block from the hotel and there are plenty of side street eating venues off Michigan Avenue to help you avoid the tourist crunch.

Great downtown location

We had a great stay at the Inn of Chicago. The hotel lobby is very chic and the small lobby bar is a great place to pregame before a night on the town. The hotel is located near great shopping and restaurants albeit it's the tourist part of the city. The train stops close by to get to surrounding neighborhoods for fun exploration outside of downtown. The room was very clean and comfortable, but the A/C never reached a desirable temperature. The staff was very friendly and accomodating when we had to stay over the reservation. Overall, our stay at the hotel was a great deal.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

The Lincoln Park Zoo is free all year. Go to a Bulls or Blackhawks game, but make sure that you find a bar that offers a free shuttle to the game.

Great location

Great location for sightseeing, walked to almost everything. Staff was very nice, room was clean and comfortable.

Great in a pinch

The only reason I did not give this a perfect score for the price is the shower. Everything else was great but I was dying for a shower and it wasnt working well and when it kicked in it was cold! Once again I would recommend this one. Great staff, great little bar with an awesome bartender and its attached to a coffee shop!

Weekend in the city

Location and price good. Staff very good. Room barely adequate. Very small. I think in the future I will pay a little more for a more comfortable space.

Business Trip

For needing a place to stay close to my meeting, this hotel was perfect. It was within walking distance to everything I needed. The room was small but kept clean and neat. When I orginally checked in, my first room smelled like smoke and this is a "no smoking" hotel. The front desk moved me immediately without question. My next room was smoke free and met my needs.

NYE in Chicago

This hotel was the perfect place to stay for the club I picked for NYE. The staff handled the New Years Eve crowd very well. The location is a wonderful place.

One day Trip

This place is good to stay if you are shopping and visiting the downtown area.Very close to everything.
