Rooms feature sweeping views of the Chicago skyline, including Soldier Field, Willis Tower and Lake Shore Drive.

Features
Playing host to hundreds of thousands of visitors every year is no easy feat, but that's precisely the business of Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. While many guests conduct business next door at McCormick Place, there is plenty of meeting and ballroom space onsite to host meetings or throw a wedding or company party. To ensure that work needs are met, a business center is open 24 hours for fax, print, copy and shipping services.
When it's time to unwind, grab a workout in the fitness center, relax in the sauna or swim laps in the indoor pool. Shor, a contemporary seafood and steak restaurant, aims for upscale dining, while Forno, a casual Italian eatery, offers lunch on-the-go.

Stop over for work

Location was good if you are going to McCormick place for a conference. The bar had average food, but was fairly over priced. Nothing bad overall, but nothing special either. Good place to stay for work trip.

Hyatt Regency McCormick Place

For the price, I found it more along the line of a 2 star due to the small rooms. I requested a city view & lake view room. The city view was good but the lake view room you got had a very limited view of the lake. Staff was well trained and presented themselves professionaly. Parking fees at the hotel was $88 for two days. It's location to points of interest was exceptional.

Don't try taking your car anywhere in downtown Chicago except to get out of there. It's cheaper to travel by taxi than to pay the parking fees IF you can find one.

A convention facility

The Hotel is adjacent to the convention center & is near nothing else. A taxi or a car rental is required to go anywhere. Valet parking @ $44/day is unreasonable & self -parking @ $33/day is also a hidden "rip-off". The Hotel is showing age & is a Hyatt Regency in name only. Even the bed linens did not fit the beds properly & the curtain for the closet door was in poor taste. My iPhone would not fit the nano adapter in the I-home. There will never be a next time here!

Labor Day Weekend

The cleanliness of the room was below standard. Housekeeping only made the bed. The carpet was not vacuumed. The tile in the bathroom area was not swept or mopped. The bathtub was not cleaned. This was reported to the housekeeping. On the first complaint housekeeping responsed and cleaned the area. On the second compliant, I was told it was too late and housekeeping was not available.

Trip to Wrigley Field

The staff was very friendly. Rooms were well kept and very roomy. Plenty of space in the bathroom for 2 people to get ready at the same time. Beautiful view as well. CTA stop very close to front of the hotel. The only thing that I could complain about would be parking rates. However, the parking deck was very nice and seemed well secured.

Kaplan Graduation

The convenience for accessing the convention center was noticeable and appreciated, as this was the primary reason for selecting this hotel. As any improvements that could be made, the parking provided some confusion, and the additional cost of going in and out unexpectedly added to the overall cost of our stay. All things considered, I would stay at Hyatt Regency again, but only at a disounted rate.

Do not indulge in a car rental. There are many forms of public transportation in Chicago that you can take advantage of. The driving was one of the very few unpleasantries that was experienced during a stay in Chicago.

Eh, not great

I was there for a conference. The location to the McCormick Center is fantastic. The lobby and restaurants were nice, but the rooms were not good. There were tiles falling off the walls in the shower, the beds were small and the temperature control was awful. Always too cold or too hot. I would not stay here again. The fitness area was nice and clean, however the pool was in serious need of a cleaning. After a 20 min swim I was tired of looking at stuff floating around in the water. Just gross. One last thing, trying to get a cab from this location was a nightmare. The taxi line fills up the entire lobby area and it was complete chaos.
