Hyatt R Chicago
Don't let yourself be fooled by the relative lower price of this hotel, specially if you have a car. All extras are very expensive. The minibar should say "don't touch this" instead of the price list. The room was very comfortable but also very noisy; even with the air-conditioning off there was this constant "vooom" that didn't let me and my daughter sleep properly. The entrance does not have a cosy feeling. It seems we are entering a shopping center instead of an hotel. Very crowded.

Quality Experience
The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. There were plenty of food and drink options available at the hotel as well as nearby. The location was great, with easy walking access to Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and other downtown locations. Given the price, the amenities could have been better as internet was only offered with a daily fee.

Great location midway between Loop and Magnificent Mile
I arrived late and there were no rooms left fitting my booking specs except by the elevators, so I was offered a disabled room or a suite. I was very pleased that they provided me the information about the elevators up front and then kindly upgraded me at no charge. Really good service at the front desk. The view of the river and the lake are fantastic, and the location could not be better.

Great location
Concierge was rude extremely rude! Valet at hotel got too busy in the morning and stopped return valet service to front of hotel so we had to go down to the parking garage ourselves and wait for attendant to bring car out for us-much more time consuming than expected. Phone in room did not work therefore increased our wait time to check out and find out that valet service was not operating to the main entrance anymore for the day (this occurred at 11am). Other than these few complaints the hotel was very clean, in a great location, had an awesome view, and was a good price for a quick weekend trip

Great get-a-way location.
Great location for shopping and eating. This is a split hotel, with the older building needing updating. The two "Queen size" beds were so small and uncomfortable, that we asked to be moved to another room (for the second night stay) to a room with a "King" and a roll-a-way, to fit three regular sized adults comfortably. Staff was uneven, with one desk clerk being so curt, almost rude, when we asked for help in changing rooms. Could use some work on people skills. ....also Needs FREE Wifi!

Great Location in Beautiful City!
This place had all the amenities that you would expect from a high quality hotel. Staff were very attentive and helpful and the room, although smaller than some in other hotels, was very nicely decorated with a great view of the city. Breakfast was excelllent. Some things did seem expensive though, including the parking. Internet access seemed extortionate to me - in this day and age I think access to wireless internet should be provided free to guests, especially since the hotel in which we stayed on our way to Chicago was provided it for free and the room cost half the price! Overall, a very nice hotel in a great location.

Great local and value!
The hotel location was better than we could have asked for. We were one block away from Magnificent Mile, on the river and close to both Navy Pier and Millenium Park. It was a longer walk to Navy Pier and to the Willis Tower (formerlly known as Sears Tower), but with the great weather the walks were long enough to sight see and enjoy the sun. We ate at Stetsons Chop House our last night and the food was beyond amazing, along with the service. The city seems extremely kid friendly, maybe I noticed because I have a 6-month old who was not on the trip with us. The only thing that we were not happy with was that our massages were cancelled hours before they were scheduled. I would have liked for the hotel to find alternate accomodations at a nearby hotel for us.

City View at the Hyatt
WE requested a high view from the desk and got it--32nd floor with city view. Neighboring guests got a little loud at 4 in the morning but the hotel more than made up for it. We enjoyed our stay and will go back!
