A night on the town

We got a fantastic special on our room, which had a very comfortable bed and very nice amenities. We were able to walk over to the wedding we were attending at Trump Tower. Also appreciated the 3pm check in and 12 noon check out. Don't park at the hotel - parking one block away will save you $20 for the night.

The best hotel in Chicago!

We had the perfect stay in the perfect hotel this time. The Chicago Hyatt is just wonderful, the staff could not be better, the rooms are clean and comfortable with down comforters and comfy mattresses and pillows. The staff just went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Both of us were beyond impressed. The food in the Bistro 151 was just great, the prices were not bad! We also had dinner at Stetson's.....don't miss it! Fabulous food and wonderful service. We will not stay anywhere else in Chicago after this experience. We had a world class view of the lake, as well. Thank you, Hyatt Chicago for making our stay so wonderful.

Location, location, location

We were in town so my girlfriend could take her state boards and we chose the Hyatt based on its location. It was 3 blocks from her test site and gave me lots to do while I waited for the four hour test to end. Dozens of nice local bars made the blistering heat bearable. The hotel itself was nice and moderately priced for its location. The bars and restraints inside the hotel were convenient, if not 4 star quality. My only real complaint was the lack of a pool.

Easier access than I had anticipated

I hate driving in large metropolitan areas and was pleasantly surprised by how easily I could get from the highway back and forth to this hotel conveniently located right between the loop and the magnificent mile in downtown Chicago.

Great Location

The Hyatt is in a perfect location in relation to the Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier and the Riverwalk. It's quite a large hotel with 2 towers, east and west. The rooms are very nice and clean, but not overly spacious. We had a deluxe king with a great view of the lake and also had nice long desk if you plan on doing any work. Internet is expensive ($14.95/day) but that's no different than any other large metropolitan city. The service from the hotel staff is excellent, but that is the standard for Hyatt and they have earned it. Great place and would stay there again.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

If you are flying into Midway Airport, take the Orange Line train to Randolph Street and then walk 3 blocks. It's only $2.25/person and takes the same amount of time as a taxi, but taxi service is $40/$50. Train ride is MUCH more relaxing than riding in traffic with a cabbie.
