a good deal
With free parking and free wireless access to the internet in the downtown of Chicago, I would call it a sweet deal when you only need to spend 80 bucks per night to have them. If you are facing a limited budget, go for it.

great price, great location
we stayed four nights, and we are very happy about our choice, the hotel is located in very convenient and safe place, the price is very accepatable, we get to take our dog with us and get free parking, which is not easy in chicago! the room is old, but the bed is very comfortable and clean. We had all out breakfast in the cafe, food is good. I will stay again.

Great value for location + parking
This is no more than a 3 star place, but value wise very good if you are looking for a non-fuss, non-fancy place. It looks a bit grim from the street, but the room looked like it was recently renovated, very clean, nice beds, roomy - no problems at all and better than I expected. Parking and internet were included - last time I stayed at one of the big star-big name hotels on Michigan they charged for internet which is one of my pet peeves, so bonus points for that. Would def stay here again.

I like here
Great location, very convenient to get around Chicago by CTA. No microwave oven and no refrigerator. But the room is clean.

About the John Hancock Skywalk, we went there at about 4:00 pm on Thanksgiving day, no line at all!! Stay in the observatory until it was totally dark outside. Great view!

excellent location
excellent location and free parking! Parking in chicago is extremely expensive so having free parking in this hotel was a real advantage. We walked everywhere or took the bus or train. The hotel needs some work but the room was clean and good enough to sleep and shower.

Short walk from hotel
Buy a day-pass for buses and metra trains. You can buy them in a money exchange house. A 1 day pass costs 5 dlls and each bus ticket costs 2.25 so it is a really good deal.

Needs a lot of work
While the location is great (walking distance to everything downtown), the hotel needs a lot of work. I only booked here due to the free parking, but then didn't even end up needing my car. Next time, I will book one of the high rises on Michigan Ave. and leave the car at home. The outside is very rundown; I felt like I was in a very bad neighborhood as soon as I walked through the parking lot. But there appeared to be other guests who seemed "normal" there, so I didn't worry. Inside the room, the walls were cracked and peeling, and there was mold in the shower (which also hummed the whole time I showered). The beds and sheets appeared clean, but the chairs were stained and gross. If you are picky about hotels, do not stay here. If you only intend to sleep here and need to bring a car, this hotel will pass.

Free parking and great location.
The good thing is the parking is for free! Great location, just couple blocks far of some bars and restaurants.

Good location - Comfortable but not fancy
Staff was good and helpful. Rooms were small but comfortable and maid service kept the rooms very clean. Rooms were not much for hanging out, but we are only at our room to sleep when we travel. Affordable and walking distance to a lot of what Chicago has to offer. ONLY the suites have microwave and fridge.
