The new Hotel Lincoln is a window to the most dynamic part of Chicago's North Side, Lincoln Park. Like the neighborhood, the hotel is historic yet fresh, fun though eccentric, active but relaxed. It's where the energy of urban life meets 1,200 green acres and Lake Michigan. All of which makes the Lincoln that unique place where the rhythms of a great city can be felt, savored and adopted as your own. The Lincoln's 184 rooms are classic Chicago seen through an eclectic, contemporary lens. They're on the preppy side, designed and furnished with modern and vintage details, including original art from local artists. Rooms on the highest floors - 9 through 12 - feature the hotel finest views, especially when facing east toward Lincoln Park and the lake.

Great boutique hotel in neighborhood environment

If you don't want to be downtown and pay big prices for parking, this is just right. Really nice staff, great food choices nearby and the BEST rooftop bar around. The room was clean, with modern quirky cool decor and very comfy. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Great value and unsurpassed location

Booked this hotel last-minute as part of a quick extended weekend Chicago getaway. While not being located in the heart of Chicago's tourist-laden River North district, Hotel Lincoln is located in the heart of the Old Town neighborhood. Located directly across the street from the lush greenery of Lincoln Park and only minutes from Lake Michigan and the Wells Street bar/restaurant strip, this hotel is perfectly situated for a variety of Chicago activities. As Old Town is far less congested than River North, street parking is FAR most accessible and much less expensive. We stayed on a Sunday night when the hotel was fairly empty and were upgraded to a suite. The room was spacious (2 bathrooms!) and fashionable in a retro cool, kitschy sort of way. Staff was very pleasant and the rooftop bar (The J. Parker) offers good drinks and fantastic views of Lincoln Park and the city skyline. My only complaint was that the AC failed to get cold enough for my liking (although keep in mind that I like sleeping temps to be in the mid-60s). Overall a great value.

Nightlife tip: In Hotel

Check out The J. Parker - Hotel Lincoln's rooftop bar/lounge. This spot fills up pretty quickly on nice weekend days so be sure to get here early. Fantastic views!

Excellent Experience

The hotel was well located - (within walking distance of shopping, many restaurants and fun pubs), very trendy and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant was outstanding - (all ingredients were fresh and the service was excellent). The park is across the street and on Saturdays there is a farmer's market. The Chicago History Museum is one block down the street and the Theaters are a short cab ride away. Transportation was very easy for taxis, bicycles and if you are a walker - the Metra station is about a 10 minute walk. The hotel has a very competitive pet friendly policy and a great rooftop bar - very popular with hotel and local guests. The hotel is a restored building with a clean, safe, friendly atmosphere. I will gladly stay here again.

Great hotel in a terrific location

This was our second stay at Hotel Lincoln, and because we were repeat customers they upgraded our room. It is always a friendly place, and we like the staff and the neighborhood very much. The hotel is a good value, and we are planning to stay there again this fall. We have recommended Hotel Lincoln to our friends and family because we like it so much.
