Excellent location for walking the Gold Coast
Hotel had wonderfully striking colors throughout. Because I like old residences, each morning I spent an hour walking along Astor Street, a special treat for me. Located near the subway.

Family Weekend
This hotel is very conveniently located in the north side of the city - close to lots of restaurants and shopping. The decor was beautiful - very different from many other hotels - I felt like I was on Cape Cod. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Convenient parking ramp right next to the hotel.

High and Dry
When I arrived at the hotel, they were in the midst of a power failure. I arrived in my room, after lugging my suitcase up six flights of stairs (the elevator was not working). I hoped to have a shower, but the water only ran in the sink. I had to use that water to fill the ice bucket and flush the toilet. Then the lights in the room went out. Every time I called downstairs, the front desk informed me that relief was imminent. Later that night the lights went back on--but still no water until the next morning. That first day in the hotel felt like surreal camping trip. But did the hotel offer any discount for guests who went through the ordeal? Not a chance. Not even for the guy with the broken arm who had to drag his luggage up to the 12th floor.

Comfortable Beds, Wonderful Location!
Close to Clark/Division Red Line station, close to lots of bus lines, walkable to beaches and Lincoln Park. Close to grocery store, close to restaurants. We walked to Giordano's! Rooms are very nicely decorated, with calming indigos and blues and greens. Bed was awesomely comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. Free internet usage on the hotel's two public computers was a nice touch too. The only downside is that the guestroom doors are quite heavy and they tend to slam shut, so if your neighbors aren't careful, they'll let their doors slam at all hours of the night and morning. Quite loud. Otherwise: Perfect!
