Great experience
The room was nice with a comfy bed. The hotel was quiet until around 8 or 8:30 in the morning. That is when I began to hear some construction in the room above us and people began to slam doors. I slept right through it, but my wife is a light sleeper. Our visit was still enjoyable though. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They would tell us which buses to take to reach our destinations as well as giving us a free upgrade for our room. Our room had a great view, comfy bed, and a huge bathroom. I would recommend this hotel to someone else. Hopefully there will not be construction above your room or have noisy neighbors.

Great Location (Rooms need improvements)
First time visit to Chicago with group of friends. The hotel was in a perfect location and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. We had an amazing view from hotel room, however the inside of the room just needs to updated. Felt very old and dirty inside of the room....

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Tilted Kilt is a great place to go for a few drinks to get the night started right and then you can hop in a cab and go to Division Street or Hubbard Street bars and you can't go wrong ...

Hotel 71
Original room was 'not yet refurbished' so we moved to a 'refurbished' room that was great. Waterfall shower. They upgraded us for $15/night. 1st room was poor, 10 year old TV, old shower, wierd shape, etc.

Great Location, Great service.
I loved this hotel. Great location, cabs came across very regularly and lots of attractions were in walking distance. During our trip the seven-eleven on the corner became a regular stop, we didn't want a heavy meal all the time, so that came in handy. Michigan Ave is quite close and Millennium Park is a short walk away. Across the street is the river, and at night the river walk is wonderful. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Fast and easy check in, very courteous and ready to help whenever we needed it. We had a later flight; they not only hold onto our bags while we went out before we left but when it was time for us to leave they got a cab for us and walked us out. This hotel made our first trip to Chicago better and less stressful, I would love to return.

Fabulous views
We had a stunning room -- a suite on the 24th floor, that looked out on the chicago river on one side, and had views of great chicago architecture on the other side. Only one down side -- they did not have the room we originally booked. A room with two queens, so they "upgraded" us to a suite, which ended up being ok because one of us was ok with sleeping on a rollout. The views were totally worth it.
