Chicago getaway
We were pleased with our hotel in Chicago. The hotel staff accommodated us with a nice 4th floor room, which included a refrigerator and microwave, which we requested. We were pleased that it had a mini kitchen with a sink as well. The bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. We faced the parking lot in the back, which was quieter than on the street, which we requested as well. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. The waitress was very friendly each morning. We would stay here again.

Not free parking
Overall staff was professional and good, with the exception of one front desk worker who needs training in customer service. The manager was able to rectify the problem and we were satisfied. The location is great. Quiet, nice breakfast in the hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable and sags in the middle. This site advertised free parking and this was not the case. Valet only for $30-35 a night. When we got home, we noticed a dent in our car. We don't know when it happened, so I'm not blaming the hotel, but we don't like handing over the keys to a valet.

Short drive from hotel
There is a great game shop in Watertower called Marbles. They have fun games and you can play them in the store to try them out. The staff was fun and energetic.

It served its purpose
Our stay at the Holiday Inn was uneventful. The room was typical. Business center was adequate. Location was really convenient for us - steps from a blue line train stop and easily walkable from the UIC campus and the loop.

Great Staff
The staff was delightful. They even helped me wrap a package that I got right before I left the hotel, one that I had to take on the airplane. The greeted me enthusiastically whenever I returned to the hotel. The concierge and the receptionist walked me out to the street and sidewalk to show me where to catch the bus and the CTA. So friendly and helpful!

very poor service
The location is great but the service is horrible. Front desk under staffed & rude with no one at Priority desk. Room service delivered the wrong food with little apology we just had to wait longer for our food. Would not stay here again there are too many good hotel options in Chicago to settle for such poor service.

Is about a 5 minute walk from union station which makes getting to it/leaving really easy if you are using public transportation.

moderate, convenient, needs updating
Wonderful very friendly staff, making up for in courtesy and smiles what is lacking in decor and modernity. This hotel is somewhat rundown, but clean - room is comfortable but rather worn and outdated. Bed was very comfortable. Staff great and very accommodating - always friendly.

excellent freeway and walking access to CTA blue line - convenient from O'Hare. Walking distance to shopping, etc. Quiet area.
