Not sure why this Hotel is only 3 stars.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and even called a cab for us. There is a nice bar right next to the Hotel. Thinking of having an event there in the future, and staying at the Holiday Inn. I thought the view to our room was great, and very comfy beds. Not mention the location is legit straight highway drive from NW IL suburbs. I will recommend this place to my friends, deserves more than 3 stars.

It was OK
Not the greatest hotel but not the worst. Had to call down 3 times to get more blankets and pillows. The pool is being renovated so no pool. but otherwise was OK

Bolt on Vacation
Disappointed
Pool was out of service when we got there. Continental breakfast (fruit and cereal) is $9.99. Rooms were average but clean. Airport shuttle was timely and its only a short walk to the train.

Mom of a star
Family Visit
Traveled to Chicago to visit family. The hotel was located right of I-90 and easily accessible (once you figured out access was via the service road and not directly from Cumberland Ave.). Although we had a rental car, there was a CTA train stop across from the hotel within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. The on-site bar/cafe made it convenient to grab a quick breakfast at an affordable price......the complimentary breakfast for hotel guests was a nice touch as well. Overall, a nice experience and value priced.

Holiday Inn-O'Hare
Excellent staff-worked hard to make things right. Had to change rooms because of a leak but they gave us a nice room. The breakfast buffet could use some help-four mornings of scrambled eggs (not always warm), bacon (greasy and not always thoroughly cooked), English muffins (no means to split them in order to toast them), no pastries. Ordering off the menu was more expensive so we settled for the buffet but it was sub-standard. The staff in the restaurant was EXCELLENT, very caring and prompt.

Short walk from hotel
Take the CTA train to downtown-$5 gives you a day of travel-all CTA trains and busses. We didn't use it but will return and use it the next time.

Excellent for the price paid
I wish the window had more sound proof. It can get noisy from the outside traffic, however, the sound proof between rooms are pretty good. The maid service was slow. When I came back late afternoon, the bed was not ready. The hotel called a cab service. It took 40 mins. to come and charged us twice as more much than a usual metered cab. I do not know why hotels around the Cumberland blue-line station have arrangement with such awful car services. I had the same bad experience with the taxi service with nearby hotels in the past.

They have an early hour appetizer specials. We did not expect much from the restaurant downstairs, but it turned out to be very good, cheap, the food was decent, the waitress was nice. We enjoyed the experience very much.
