Watch for extra costs!!!
June Oct 12, 2009
The hotel is very nice, with lots of amenities, but most of the amenities come at additional costs/fees that aren't included ... in what you pay for the stay. It should be all-inclusive for hotel guests, especially those travelling through O'Hare and can prove it with boarding passes.

U2 Weekend
CW for U2 Oct 10, 2009
Great and easy set up for quick downtown weekend getaway for U2 concert. While every other hotel in downtown was full, we ... simply stay at Ohare and caught the blue-line after the show. Fairly easy, and alot less stress than dealing with downtown.

Sky Aug 14, 2009
I think overall, the hotel is pretty descent, the staff are very friendly, location isn't too bad. However, for a guy like me ... who is travelling alone, and rent a car, it doesn't seem to be that convinient after all, cuz u would have to rent the car far away from the hotel and drive back and forth. When u leave, u'd have to return the car and take the shuttle to come back. That part, I'm not very satisfied. Plus, having a hotel inside of the airport, the idea of it is awesome, but really, people r here for the city, the long drive to the city with traffic problems really messes up the mood. Also, the hotel only supports valet parking, that's very unreasonable, cuz that's like ripping us off without even giving us a chance. But I know there is limited space in the airport, so I understand. Anyway, I think if u don't mind any of the things I just mentioned, it is pretty nice hotel, it's all about the dough though!

Worst hotel ever
High Expectations when travelling Aug 2, 2009
This has to be one of the top-10 worst hotels in the world. Check-in took a whopping 50 minutes, due to a loooong line and ... just two persons attending. Checking-out was another 40 minutes. So, if you stay here, add extra hours to get in and out of the hotel. Reception staff were extremely rude and impolite and basically ruined the whole stay. While in the line three people left for other hotels. Hilton is obviously saving money on staff. Fine, next time I stay somewhere else. What could have been a great experience (hotel is nice), was ruined by "people who hate their job" among the staff. Stay away!

The house keeping staff was very nice and respectful. My mom and I went to the sports bar to get a meal and the staff was ... very rude ignoring us as if we wern't even there. They acted like we were bothering them by being there. The bottom line is the customers are the reason they have a job!!They need a class in customer service. The prices are too high for what your served.

short walk to catch a flight. One bad thing is that we could hear everything our neighbors were talking about on both sides of us and they stayed up late. They need more lighting in the bathrooms. The prices for the snacks in the rooms are too high.

Convenient but lacking
Honey Bee Super Mom Jul 19, 2009
When I arrived I checked in quickly with no problem. My room was amazing- big TV, bed, clean bathroom, and what looked like ... toothepaste from the hotel that I had forgotten myself. Well... that would have cost me an extra dollar amount "plus applicable sales tax plus 17%" on my hotel bill- no thanks! I was only staying ovenight with my toddler son, and when we woke up the next morning, I had an additional bill for my room although I had already paid through Orbitz. After contacting the front desk, they at least admitted that they had made a mistake and was supposed to bill Orbitz instead. This hotel was nothing special and although I did not have the greatest experience, I would stay there again just because of their location.
Traveler type: Family
You do not have to check out, AS LONG AS you agree with the bill they slip under your door before 6am. Just leave the key and walk the 30 seconds to O'Hare.

This hotel is inside the chicago airport, so it is a prime location if you have to stopover briefly at ORD. There's ... definitely no reason to stay there more than one night. Maybe they feel they have a captive audience, but they could do a lot better to cater to what is probably their core business, air travelers. I arrived late and there was only one person on duty checking in, with 5 people waiting. There were kiosks to do automatic check-in to the hotel, but you can't use them if you reserved on Orbitz or other service. No room service late at night, the only thing open in the hotel was the bar which had pizza but it was terrible and took them 20 minutes to prepare. At checkout the kiosk tried to charge me >$100 extra though I had already prepaid the reservation. The kiosk is supposed to be able to print boarding passes but it didn't work for American Airlines. Signage to walk between hotel and airport was poor.

We were offered very gracious service by all the staff we met. We stayed twice in ten days going to and from our ... destination. We found the location to be excellent for us and the restaurants were very well appointed. The only drawback to our stay both times was the cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms were not up to standard and we were quite surprised but to tired to complain.

We arrived during a December snowstorm in Chicago. It was so nice to just pick up your bags at the airport carousel and then ... take the elevator down to the lower level and walk right to the hotel without going outside at all. The next morning we were able to walk to the terminal, check our bags, and then go back to the comfort of the room, watch TV, order in breakfast, etc., rather than sitting in the airport waiting areas, as checkout wasn't until noon. Very convenient and relaxing.

The Hilton Hotel located right outside of OHare Airport was a very pleasant stay. The bed was extremely comfortable. The ... breakfast buffet was very good with many choices. They have many options to choice from to get downtown. The hotel provides a driver with limouse service. There are also cabs and the subway is only a short walk away to go downtown for a shopping trip or to see a show. The staff was very helpful on providing options for transportation, places to eat and things to see. We enjoyed our stay.

The Hilton O'Hare is in a descent location, but that doesn't make up for the hefty price. The last time I stayed here I ... thought it was spendy, but dealt with it for the location. This time there were just too many problems. Parking was $45 a night. six of the eight elevators weren't working. the room was hot and the only suggestion the front desk gave was to shut off the heat and open the window. Not a bad plan except then you have the exhaust fumes form the airport pouring into your room. There is no pool. Internet access was $13 a night. I ended up changing hotels and it was the best move for me. I doubt I will ever stay at the Hilton O'Hare again.

Craig Sep 30, 2007
This hotel is great for business travelers because it is located within terminal 2 of O'Hare. The train station in the ... airport connects you to anywhere else in the city for just a few dollars. Unfortunately, the train takes over an hour to reach downtown Chicago. My only complaint about the hotel itself is that the water is shut down in every room between 12:00 AM and 6:00, which meant that I couldn't take a shower before I went to bed.
