Utterly wonderful
Great beds -- clean facilities, helpful staff. The only downer was paying $2.00 for a banana in the snack area.

I brought my 11 year old son and his friend to Chicago for the weekend to visit Shedd's Aquarium...they loved the hotel especially the doormen. Staff was wonderful, perfect walking distance to the aquarium and the two bathrooms in one room made for one happy mom !! Definitely will stay again.

Overall a good stay.
We were a little disappointed because when we arrived, they had overbooked our room. They were very polite and upgraded our reservation, but the only rooms left available had 2 double beds - not quite what we were thinking for a romantic getaway weekend! But the view was lovely and the room was nice.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Gage, at 25 S. Michigan Ave, was delicious! It was very modern and swanky, yet you could still feel comfortable in jeans. We had a delicious lunch there for a pretty reasonable price!

Hilton isn't 4 star
The room is barely larger than the bed. The temp control doesn't work and the room temp is very high at all times! The shower was extremely dirty and the toilet didn't work very effectively.

Excellent stay, but . . .
We were upgraded to a room with two baths, but had to have someone come to fix the water valve in one of them. On our second night there, a lot of teenagers/young adults were running up and down the hallway til all hours yelling at the top of their lungs. Security should have been patrolling to avert this.

Nice, simple
This is a very nice, old world hotel. About a 20 minute walk from the real action of downtown, close to Grant Park, Art Museum etc. Nice staff and great complimentary breakfast. The room was kind of small but nice. A good deal all around.
