Great Stay
We didn't use all the amenities during the stay. The room was very comfortable and everyone was very friendly. A first class establishment. It was close to the park and close to the action. Defintely would stay there again.

Wonderful staff and beautiful hotel
We booked this hotel for New Years Eve weekend. We could not even believe the deal we got on it. It came with free valet parking for each night which was a big deal considering its over $50/night to park everywhere in Chicago! The staff were very personable and helpful. We asked concierge about bars in the area and he suggested a great place for us and also gave us a pass for two free admissions. We had a great time! On New Years Eve, my (now) fiance proposed to me at the Navy Pier. When we arrived back to our hotel, the manager could tell we had just got engaged. He lead us to hotel bar where they opened a bottle of champagne for us on the house. It was so thoughtful and they really made our weekend wonderful. We were only there for two days and ate at the same restaurant both nights (it was cold, and the restaurant was close) so as far as location goes its hard to say. Its just a short walk to Michigan Avenue and the Navy Pier though. I would definitely stay here again in the spring or summer if we were able to walk more without freezing. I gave 4 stars on the amenities due to the extra fees associated with the fitness facility and wifi, although we didnt care about those anyways. It would have been a nice bonus though. I would recommend this to anyone.

Wonderful view of Garden & Fireworks
It was amazing! From the time I arrived, I enjoyed the view from my room overlooking the lake, but also a beautiful roof top garden from the building across the street. On Saturday evening, I was fortunate enough to catch the outstanding fireworks show on the lake. I was most impressed by "Tim" the concierge who helped me pick out an Italian restaurant in Little Italy where I took my best customers! Great experience!

Great Weekend stay
I have to say that the hotel was fantastic! Between the staff and the room itself, we could not ask for better. It is located two blocks from Michigan Avenue. It was about a 20 minute walk to Navy Pier. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge gave great recommendations for a brunch (btw - ate at a place called, "West Egg", highly recommend for a value meal). I heard others only complaint was the parking. My wife and I arrived on Saturday and left on Monday and the total parking was reasonable for downtown Chicago. Now granted that was in a self park garage (in the prodential building garage). I would not expect anything less than $25/day in downtown Chicago.

One night in Chi-town
Took my spouce to the city for two days of relaxing fun. I chose this hotel because of its star rating and review rating. I was not disapointed. Although we arrived right at check-in time, and the desk attendant asked if a room with double beds was OK, I explained my situation and got the King room I had asked for through orbitz. Wonderful room with view and very nice decor. It was worth the price and everyone treated us with a smile and respect.

Fairmont is great!
I stayed at the Fairmont for Lollapalooza, primarily for its proximity to Grant Park. I was greeted immediately by the courteous front desk staff and was given a room at 10AM, well before the stated check in time. A huge plus in my book. The room was a "Pure" room - hypoallergenic lodging. It was clean, well appointed and a decnt size. Even with a packed hotel - I only had to wait for the elevators once. All in, a great experience.

Dog Friendly/Nice Views
We picked this hotel because we needed a hotel that was nice, clean, comfortable and pet friendly. The staff was very nice, the location was perfect and in walking distance of the main attractions. We picked a room with the canal view...which was awesome. The room was spacious, clean with a very nice bathroom. Our friends decided to get a different room with a view of the Chicago L train tracks and an apartment building, which was still nice and you barely heard the train. The parking is $45.00 A DAY!!! but we got lucky because the first day they parked our vehicle outside in the front of the hotel so they didn't charge us for that day.
