Birthday getaway

They really know how to treat you right at this hotel. Everything from the room to the complimentary breakfast, to the manager's reception was great. The breakfast was amazing, the manager's reception was a great way to unwind after a day of walking and shopping. The bed couldn't have been better, I haven't slept that good in a while, everything at this hotel made our weekend just perfect.

Lovely get away, great location

This hotel is a great place, we won't stay anywhere else in Chicago. For a hotel downtown the room is bigger than most because of the 2nd sitting room attached. Very clean, modern looking place. The free drinks and breakfast usually have a line, but those perks are worth about $25 per person daily if purchased outside. Nice to start the day with a good breakfast. Having a fridge in the room is unusual downtown so that is a big perk if you want to bring your own snacks, healthy foods or beverages. The location is amazing, 2-3 blocks to Michigan Ave, 4-5 blocks to Navy Pier. Love this hotel!

Great Value

The Embassy Suites Chicago - Downtown/Lakefront, Chicago, Illinois was a great place to stay. In the morning they serve an all you can eat breakfast which was made to order. You could have omelets or eggs made however you wanted, right in front of you. At night they had a dinner reception with free drinks and some snacks on the side. The exercise room was facing the city, and had a huge window view. Our room was very large, and separated so that the study was not in the bedroom. Also the location of the hotel was perfect so that we could walk downtown from where we stayed.

Great for couples and shopping

The Embassy Suites Chicago-Downtown/Lakefront was great. The room was very comfortable. It was nice to have a suite so you could spread out. The one down fall to the room was the bathroom. It wasn't much and a bit odd. We only had a shower and there was no lip on the floor to keep the water contained so water would go all over the bathroom floor. Other than that it was a great place. The staff was wonderful. The evening reception was nice and the breakfast was great. We even got there several hours before check in and they happily put us into our room. The Magnificent Mile is only a few blocks from the hotel and there are lots of good restaraunts a short distance away.

Fantastic staff, great room, location

[...] at the front desk is a gem! She checked us in early and gave us a great room on the 16th floor. This hotel is not for the faint of heart (glass elevators, all glass in the hallways). If you have a real fear of heights, there are better options for you, but if you love great service at great prices, stay here. I mentioned we were staying for our anniversary, and they sent not only a complimentary bottle of wine, and beautiful cheese and fruit tray, but a card as well! The room would be a bit cramped for a family with teens, but was very roomy for two. Bed was so comfy! The breakfast was great. They warn you all over to get there early, so we did, all five nights. We never had to wait more than a few minutes. The managers reception was just as nice. Decent sized drinks for free!!! Snacks were chips and trail mix, but with so many nice restaurants in Chicago, do you want to fill up here? So much more to say.. Stay here.. It's great

Cubs cardnals game

Everyone was super friendly and helpful! My husband and. Went to a cubs game and shopped downtown. This hotel was far better than others we have stayed in Chicago. The only thing I would change is the location rather be closer to Michigan ave.

Great value for your money

We stayed at the Embassy Suites while visiting Chicago. The price was comparable to other hotels but the large two room suite, great full breakfast, complimentary drinks during happy hour, and location made the choice easy. I've stayed at Embassy Suites hotels in the past and we enjoyed our stay this time as well.
