Good Location

The hotel was in a great location. The rooms were nice. The breakfast was okay. Lines were long esp. on the weekends. I got a good rate for the hotel. Many attractions were within walking distance as well the guided tour buses did stop across the street from the hotel. I had a room with a limited view but could see Lake Michigan. The walls were thin so you did hear the neighbors.

American Doll Weekend with a 3 year old!

This was a planned weekend with my mom and 3 1/2 year old daughter to go to the American Doll store. We had a great time, but the best part was our stay at the Embassy Suite Hotel. When you have children with you it can be a hassle trying to feed them and keep them entertained. Well having the complimentary breakfast each morning was a tremendous savings and a great way to start our day with a hearty breakfast. There were lots of choices even for our little one. Then after spending all day shopping with a 3 year old you are exhausted and need to relax which my mom and I did when we got back in the evening in time for the complimentary cocktail hour. But the best part was the fabulous rate on the room [...] only $92/per night, we spent that much in parking! [...]

Really enjoyed it

We all really liked the hotel rooms. It was spacious. Great value for the money. The breakfasts were ok, not as hot as I would have liked. The managers reception was a bonus.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

The Shedd Aquarium was a bit of a disappointment. The whale exhibit and the shark exhibit were closed. If we had known that we may not have gone. I think they should post that on their website before you pay the same price as when those exhibits are open. If you want to see them check before you go.
