Fun Downtown Stay

Good view, good amenities, comfortable bed. No complaints about the staff and the free breakfast was better than expected (you can get a made to order omlette, but you have to wait in line). All in all a very decent stay for the price.

Chicago Tourists

Everything was perfect- except the drinks were watered down at Happy Hour, and the lines were too long - they need more staff for these events to move things along. Loved LaTonya, the concierge. The entrance is pretty strange - hard to find using a navigator in the car - wasted time trying to figure out how to get into the hotel - it doesn't match the address. The bathrooms need exhaust fans - it's strange they don't have them.

Lovely get away, great location

This hotel is a great place, we won't stay anywhere else in Chicago. For a hotel downtown the room is bigger than most because of the 2nd sitting room attached. Very clean, modern looking place. The free drinks and breakfast usually have a line, but those perks are worth about $25 per person daily if purchased outside. Nice to start the day with a good breakfast. Having a fridge in the room is unusual downtown so that is a big perk if you want to bring your own snacks, healthy foods or beverages. The location is amazing, 2-3 blocks to Michigan Ave, 4-5 blocks to Navy Pier. Love this hotel!

Excellent value !

We appreciated our stay at the Embassy. Breakfasts were very good. We did not go to the manager 's reception since we were visiting the city at that time.

Great Location

We went for a mother/daughter trip and the location was great. 2 Blocks off of Michigan Ave. (it's a little hard to find...have to go down to the lower Illiois and Columbus area) Great views! We didn't go swimming but the pool looked small...it was spring break and crowded. We had the 'free' breakfast and it was delicious.

Extremely nice !

A very beautiful hotel, great location, and corteous staff. Quite a popular and busy hotel evident by the crowd at the free morning breakfasts. Sitting and standing areas are challenging to find during breakfast and evening social hour but no one ever walks away or leaves unsatisfied. This is perhaps the only issue that could be improved but with such a popular grand accomodation, it's an envious problem desired by other hotels. Extremely nice, had a very pleasant experience.

Can't wait to go back!

Love the space in the rooms. Excellent location. Friendly, courteous staff. Amazing value . The pool is small, but clean. The staff tried to address issues with the phone and coffee maker, we were only there overnight, they did the best they could.

Things close early in the winter months, hard to find specialty places to eat late during the week.

Best for Family of 5!

It was wonderful and worth the price. We have 3 small children and the set-up was wonderful. It was nice having a living space for the children to play and sit in instead of sitting on beds all the time. Breakfast was awesome with a made to order line and plenty of sitting space. We never had trouble finding a table to fit our family. Walking distance to Michigan Ave and a taxi ride to all the museums. The staff was extremely friendly! Would go back here and any other Embassy Suites!!

Take a cab because parking is expensive if you can find a place to park.
