Chciago vacation
This hotel was almost in the perfect location. It was close enough to Navy Pier and Magnificent Mile, but far enough away that you didn't feel like you were fighting for space. Room was a good size but the bathroom was very tiny. Worth the money though.

Great for the money!
We were very surprised by how nice this hotel was for the price we paid. It was so close to Michigan Avenue and a quick walk to State street. The only downside: We stayed three nights in a non-smoking room. The first night we stayed, everything was normal. However the next two nights, the room smelled like smoke (and not cigarette smoke either). We were not sure why it was smelling like this - if it was maybe coming from our neighbors or what. But everything else was really nice. Close to everything!

Suited it's purpose.
This Double Tree is a renovated something or other. It was fine, overused but that is to be expected for it's location. The rooms were fine, bedding was great, very comfy. As per most hotels the bathrooms are sorta, gross. Drain didn't work in tub/shower. Toilet was old skool. I wish hotels installed more efficient items. It had a lame coffee maker that spilt everywhere but again this is par for course. For the price and location, it was great and I would stay there again.

Amazing room and view! So close to everything. Tons of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Loved the warm cookie at check in. The most comfortable hotel bed I have ever stayed on! We would go back and stay there again in a heartbeat. Nicest hotel for the money!
