good location
My husband and I went to chicago to experience the Michigan ave & the Navy Pier and other sites of Chicago.. We took a train to Chicago and a Taxi to the Hotel.. Which was very Nice. The hotel staff some of the staff was very nice (doorman) others not.. The room was ok for the price...( I think ). The room looked like it was a storage room at one time and made into a hotel room.. Also the bathroom had a urine smell to it (maybe just me).. Location was GOOD.. I do not think I would stay at that Hotel again...Also I happen to see some of the other rooms.. as I walked by..and talked to another guest in the elevator of that room. and the room was much bigger for only dollars difference..This was my first time in Chicago for doing the shopping trip..

Great location, great room, lobby was ok
You can't beat the location, and the room was really nice and spacious. There is an outdoor pool on the 40th flooor but its only open between memorial day and labor day. There was a nice pub attached, but their the lobby was small, there was no starbuck/einsteins downstairs so good coffee wasn't the easiest to come by unless you paid a lot for room service. The elevators were a real pain. There was three tiny elevators that could fit 6 people at most which made for annoying rides too and from the room. The parking was $48.00 a day which seems pretty normal for the area. Me and the fiance went for a nice touristy vacation and it was perfect. Restaurants and shooping right ouside the door.

Great location, you're less than a block away from great shopping on Michigan Avenue! I bought a CTA pass to get around on public transit, and barely had to use it!

Gino's Pizza is great!!! Close and easy to get to. Lot of shopping in a close distance.

Good deal, nice hotel
Great location for enjoying downtown. Gino's East pizza right around the corner. Be prepared to pay $48 a night for parking if you bring your own car.

Perfect location
- Good breakfast (European) - We got a free upgrade to a corner suite because we had a baby. It was perfect at night when we had an own room for her.

good choice
This is a great hotel, the room size was excellent (living room separate from bedroom), very nice furniture, comfortable, close to everything and VERY AFFORDABLE. I was a week before in the fancy Sax Hotel and there is no comparison, SAX room was much smaller, very expensive, and poor maintenance...Im going back definitely to Avenue

Great Location
The hotel had a really nice contemporary look to it. Speedy check-in, nice view and really nice furniture in the room. I can only imagine how the scene will look in the summer when the pool is open. Would recommend as a getaway hotel with your guy/gal or girlfriends. The Bar scene on the roof was a nice add.

Excellent Stay
Maganificant Mile and Chicago Tourist vacation was pretty good. Just didn't like the housekeepers entering the room during the afternoon and asking me was it good?
