Open the door to fun

Upside- location can not be beat! Right outside the lobby door is the river, restaurants, and easy access to the CTA. Filtered and chilled water available on each floor at the elevator landing. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Bathroom was nice and modern with nice fixtures. Took my 7 year old daughter for three days and it was great! Downside- TINY television, room kind of small, ice machine way down near the laundry room on floor LL2, and only one elevator can get to it.

Couples theatre getaway

This hotel did a good job of satisfying our needs for a one night trip to Chicago. The location was excellent and the value was good. The bed could have been softer and the rooms are small, but overall it was a good stay.

Small but Convenient

The hotel was fine just small. Nothing special, but convenient for walking the Mag Mile and seeing the sights. Staff was helpful when needed. Only real complaint was a lack of control over room heating and cooling.

Location, location

Perfect place to stay. Close to parks and shopping. It's nothing special but I'm okay with mediocre as long as its clean.

Nothing offensive about it

The hotel was fine. I had a very cheap room, which was tiny and not entirely well cleaned (a couple odd smudges on the desk, a couple of dusty spots). The wireless internet isn't very strong, and the elevators aren't extremely rapid. But overall, it was fine. They were obviously doing a fair amount of remodeling when I was there (though not in an annoying way), so I'd expect it to continue to improve over time. For the money it costs, it's a good value given its location. (Especially if you're Mormon, I suppose!)

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Close to Michigan Avenue and all the over-priced nonsense you can buy there, if you're into that. Nothing very exciting there or in the Loop after hours, but it's close to the Art Institution of Chicago, the park, and other nice things. Get out and do that instead of shopping. You'll have more fun.

Visiting Schools

Went to Chicago to visit a school and stayed at Club Quarters. It was easy to get to, and they had a parking lot right next to it that was convenient to park in. The room was small (to the point where my travel companion and I had to dance around the room to stay out of either other's way to get ready for dinner) but clean. We had views of other tall buildings, which I thought were beautiful, if you like those kinds of views. We had to go down the hall to get the iron to use, because it's in a central location, not each room. Overall, it was a good experience, if a little cramped.

You get what you pay for

The best thing about the hotel is its location. Yes, their rates are great, but there are compromises: You pay for the excellent location, but in exchange you get a really tiny room with weak airconditioning. You have free Wi-Fi & printing, complimentary coffee & cold drinking water, but in exchange you don't get a mini-fridge in your room or a dvd player/gaming device. There isn't much of a lobby, and no gym or spa. It's geared more towards business travelers as opposed to leisure travelers.

Money-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

For those checking out the John Hancock tower, instead of paying to go to the observation deck, go to the Signature Lounge instead. It's one level higher, you get the same views, and your money goes towards food & drink, so it's a better value.

Nice hotel with terrific location

Love this hotel! Have stayed here 7 or 8 times. Terrific location at Wacker Dr & Michigan Ave - couldn't be more centrally located for business person or tourist. Rooms are small but clean & comfortable. Some rooms have small refrigerator and microwave, convenient for long stays. Staff very helpful.

Perfect Location in Chicago

Perfect location, between the shopping district and the main park. Close to everything and really convenient. Rooms are quite standard. Could be cleaner and more modern, but if you don't care too much about the hotel as long as it is safe and offers average services, then staying there is worth it because of where it's located.
