Outstanding location just a few

Outstanding location just a few blocks from the Art Institute, small but comfortable rooms, and the Elephant and Castle pub next door make this a very good weekend hotel when we visit Chicago. We will be back.

A fine place to stay

This hotel is a few blocks west of our main destinations (Orchestra Hall and the Art Institute, Michigan at Adams) but still quite convenient for them. We received a great rate and had stayed here before, so I made the reservation without hesitation. Our room was a bit small but attractive and impeccably clean, and check in / check out were automated and extremely fast. The associated parking garage is two blocks away, which can be unpleasant in rain, but with validation, it's a bargain at $20/night. Our only complaint was (apparently) a heavy smoker in the room next door. (We probably could have asked for a new room but it wasn't worth the bother.)

Club Quarters

This was a one night stay on a Monday. Arrived at 8 pm. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, well appointed, quiet and small. Wireless internet connection was very slow, but hotel staff delivered ethernet cable to room upon request at no charge and wired connection much improved speed. Inadvertently left my jacket in the room. When I called back the next day, I was promptly connected to housekeeping staff who confirmed they had my jacket. When I went by the hotel 24 hours later, my jacket was at the front desk waiting for me. Overall a much better hotel experience than I expected!

Mom and Daughter Getaway

Hotel was a sweet find, in a great location. Walked to shopping, museums, lake. Staff helpful and friendly. Self check-in/check-out was quick. Room was casual and like staying at a friend's house. However, little warm and when adjusted thermostat it did not appear to help much and windows didn't open. LOVE the concept of the filtered water and reusable water bottles! Oh, and the "guest closet" is also nice idea. Truly enjoyed stay and would definitely visit again.

Parking was very reasonable in comparison. Make sure to ask hotel location of parking structure prior to arrival. It is off site and short walk from hotel. Had to drive around block a couple of times before we called hotel to find out which parking structure they use for guests.

A last minute plan...

Last minute changes to a trip I was planning [...] Value for this hotel was spectacular for the price I paid. Great location. Room was small, but quite: my guest and I both described it as "quaint." Everything you need is right at your fingertips - the room did not have all of tha extra unnecessary stuff (for example, when was the last time you unpacked your suitcase and put your clothes in the dresser in your hotel room?) The room and all public areas of the hotel were clean. Bed linens, pillows, and mattress were incredibly comfortable - I slept better than I have in a hotel room in a long time.Hotel staff, while not what I would call "outgoing," were very accommodating. I was impressed by valet services/staff.Hotel had a water dispenser with water bottles on each floor near the elevators. My guest and I were both extremely impressed with this extra service - neither of us had ever seen anything like it.I would definitely stay at Club Quarters again. My guest and I would have extended our stay were we not required to return to work on Monday.

There is a Starbucks on the corner immediately next to the hotel - convenient, except for the fact that it is closed on Sundays. However, there are other coffee shops located within a few blocks of the hotel.
