Stay here for next year's Lollapalooza!

Stayed at the Central Loop for 3 nites while attending Lollapalooza in Grant Park. The location couldn't have been better! Only a 4 block walk to the park, and 5 blocks from the Sears Tower! The only complaint i had was our door was right next to the people staying in the room beside us, and the door kept opening and slamming, that got very annoying. But other than that, I would definately stay here again!

Nice and Clean

I was in town visiting the University of Chicago and decided to stay at the Central Loop Hotel. The price was right, location was good but it's a business district (weekends are quiet as all the corporations are closed) so you'll need to take a cab to wherever there's entertainment. I would certainly stay there again if I'm in Chicago.

Great hotel right downtown!

Central loop was a great place to stay! right down town, near the trains but not so near that you could hear them. Rooms were very clean, staff was nice, bottled water station was a nice touch. Avoid having leftovers- there are no microwaves or fridges, and the food is amazing everywhere! Was able to walk to almost everything, otherwise hopped in cab, train or bus. Had a great time.

Service was good. Room was small

Service was good. Room was small as were halls. Could have used small iron and board in room. Largest bed was a queen. The best things about this hotel were the price and the location. Location was the reason for our pick. Being inside the Loop, there was much within walking distance (such as the Willis Tower, where you can also get a water taxi all the way to Navy Pier) and there was easy access to trains going all over the city. If your budget is tight and you want to be in the middle of things, I recommend this hotel.

small, but everything you need

The hotel was easy to get to... we took the "L" to and from the airport and it was a very easy trip. It's in the business district so we didn't find much going on at night/ on the weekend, but public transportation is super easy, and you can find lots to do just a few blocks away. Also, the restaurant at the hotel is pretty good, and has a late night menu. The room was very small, but it had everything we needed, and since there is so much to do in Chicago we were really only at the hotel to sleep anyway. The hotel does offer some nice amenities - bottled water, laundry, gym, computers. Although we didn't use the gym while we were there, it looked like a pretty good fitness area compared to other hotel i've stayed in. Also, you can get a bike or stepper brought to your room for free, if you so desire. The room was very clean, staff was helpful, and overall we were happy with the accommodations.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

I highly recommend the tastebud tour! There are a few different ones. They do a tour in the loop area (near the hotel). We did one that's a little further away in the magnificent mile area that was fabulous! If you're looking for Chicago style deep dish pizza, i recommend Pizano's. There are a couple of locations.. one just a short walk from the hotel going east toward millennium park, the other is a couple blocks west of the Hancock (i think on state st.). I didn't think i was a fan of the deep dish, but this pizza is amazing! Also, Berghoff's is just a couple blocks from the hotel, and is worth a visit.
