Chicago Event Stop

The hotel staff was friendly and took care of my immediately when I walked in the door. The room was great. But I like more of all is the bottled water available by the elevator. Not everyone likes tap water or to pay for bottled water.

New Year's Eve in Chicago

I booked the hotel the week before New Year's Eve and was able to get a great deal. The room was spacious and had a nice kitchenette. Very European looking. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great Weekend Getaway

For $100 or so, this hotel can't be beat. It's right in the Loop, very close to the Art Institue, Russian Tea Time, parks, els, Berghoff's . . . What else do you need? Rooms are smallish but comfortble; many have great city views. The lobby restaurant is good for breakfast and becomes a great bar at night. The young staff is friendly and helpful. Clearly a business hotel during the week but a good choice for Chicago weekends when pleasure rather than business is the goal

Great location, great city

Stayed here to save a few bucks when a friend got married at the higher-priced Marriott down the street. As a Chicagoan, I can say the location can't be beat. It's walking distance to the big theaters and museums and all that downtown offers. Plus, it's a few steps from the CTA and Metra commuter trains if you have time to expand your travels. Rooms have a Euro feel, small but comfy — but you're not coming to Chicago to sit in a hotel room anyway! The main drawback could be if you like to party, as most of downtown gets very sleepy early. You'll have to travel at least to River North, the South Loop, Near West Side or (god forbid) Rush Street for any late-night hijinks. The good news is you can walk to these locales or take a fairly reasonable cab ride.

European Style Hotel (small rooms)

If you are in town for business, this no-frills hotel has everything you need. The rooms are very small, with most of the space allocated to a well designed desk with a large work surface and easy access to multiple plugs. The charging station on the nightstand with more plugs and USB ports was another nice touch. Filtered water is available on every floor, and the ability to print from your room makes getting boarding passes a snap. Room service was provided by the restaurant attached to the hotel at normal restaurant prices - no hotel mark-ups!!! Most importantly, the bed was comfortable and aloud for a good rest to recharge for the business day ahead.
