The hotel was very nice, I had a renovated room minus a new TV, but that was on way as the new wall mount was in olace. The cable was fuzzy but normal on old tv. Wish had a breakfast but not a deal breaker for a quick stop. The overnight worker
was great, he helped me get the best rate at 41.99. If I needed to stay in area I would definitely stay at this place.
We stayed in a non-smoking room and I chose to dish out a few extra dollars to get one of the remodeled rooms; worth it. No old stains, no funky odors, the colors on the carpet where bright, and the lamp shades had none of that film. The old TV
had not been switched out for a flat screen just yet, but we noticed the wall mount already in place. We didn't watch TV anyway. We basically only spent the night and showered in the morning. The bars of soap, though, were excellent. They were some sort of creamy oatmeal that left my skin so soft, and the smell wasn't harsh. There was no continental breakfast or a pool, but we were aware of that when we booked there. This room was much better than when we stayed at the Red Roof Inn in St. Louis, MO. We made the mistake not to specify non-smoking and it smelled horrible.
I only chose this hotel because of a stay at a different and remodeled Red Roof inn, hoping this would be the same. However, after checking in and going to my room I felt uncomfortable just standing there in the doorway. I stayed only long enough
to book a different hotel in which I could feel comfortable.
