Drury Inn And Suites Champaign

Upon check-in, I was told that I was given a room that would be nice and quiet. Well, that wasn't the case at all. My room was right above the front desk. In the mornings I was waken by the sounds of loud children and chairs scooting across the tile floor. Not very quiet at all. It's a good hotel, just don't get room 201 if you want quiet.

The staff was friendly, the room clean, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. My room had a 40" LCD TV, which was also nice. I was able to use the free wireless internet to get some work done also.

This was a great hotel with friendly staff. The free appetizers and drinks were a bonus and it is located in a prime spot close to shopping and restaurants. Only negative things were the pool was closed due to cleaning and the rooms are a little outdated. But it was very clean and perfect for the price.

Had a pretty good stay. The only bad part was they started cleaning the rooms around me pretty early in the morning and were really loud. I was already up but if I had been sleeping I would've been pretty upset.

Excellent value! The staff was great, giving us their name at check-in, telling us to call them personally if there was a problem. Breakfast was exceptional. No question we would stay again or at another Drury Inn. Our only complaint -- every vending machine was sold out of no-caffeine drinks by 8 o'clock Saturday night. No big deal!

We spent the night here because it is near U of I. The pool was clean and welcome on the 88 degree day. The 5:30 buffet with drinks was fantastic! Many guests enjoyed the food and watched the World Soccer Cup on the big screen TV in the lobby. Very festive atmosphere! The breakfast was good too.

The front dest clerk was very nice. Invited us to take advantage of the "kickback" area. The hall way on the way to our room was loud and full of kids running around, playing in the elavator. The floor outside the elavator was wet I almost fell as my hands were full. walking down the hallway on the our floor you could see the kids running in and out of the room. Well, we lucked out. We got the room next to the kids birthday party. So we carried in stuff and decided to go check out the "kickback" hopefully a little less active. We had to witness the parents of childrens birthday party having a disagreement on who was going to go back up and watch the kids. The mom didn't think the father was doing his share. Anyway- The food was cold and not what was pictured. The young lady behind the bar area was very nice. But nothing she could do about the food she said. Upon returning to the room parents were arriving it seemed the party was breaking up. By midnight I think the parent might be too. Lets just say, the walls were thin, or the voices were loud. The beds were very comfortable. But the room was very stuffy. The ventilation was poor. No vent in the bathroom either. The room was too hot. With no way to fix. I was tired all the next day. (today). But I wanted to get this off to you. I suggest you make the guest aware of any kids parties going on when they check in so they can asked to be put on another floor. I will be sure to ask that the next time I stay. If I do.

There were children running up and down the hall,knocking on doors. We called front desk and they said that they would take care of it in 2 minutes. They took care of the situation very promptly. Very helpful staff!

The room was very clean and had many useful amenities. The staff was very professional and polite. It was a great stay.
