Poor Value

The hotel itself is attractive and mostly well cared for. Although the room was labeled 'non-smoking' it definitely had the lingering smell of a former smoking inhabitant#s#. Apart from that the room was clean and comfortable. The fact there was no complimentary breakfast of any level, no hospitality coffee in the lobby and the price was considerably higher than any other property we stayed at in three weeks on the road made for our poor value rating.

Grandkids exchange & stay

I would rate Wallace Inn higher than 3 stars! The rooms were nice size, the bathrooms are spacious. The amenities were great, nice size pool without the strong chlorine smell, two saunas, and a exercise room. The only problem for me was the restaurant and to be fair I didn't follow up on my complaint. The wait time for breakfast was 35 mins. Two tables that ordered after us received their food before us.

Convient place to stay.

This was our last stay of a 14 day cross country adventure. The room was comfortable and the town was quite unique. Our stay was during a quiet time of the year so there were no crowds. There was no elevator at the Inn and that hindered my elderly parents when we were booked into a 2nd floor room. The room door was hard to close so it had to be closed very hard, good thing the INN was booked full. The restaurant wasn't very inviting and the menu was too heavy for what we wanted so we went a few blocks into town.

Downtown was only a few blocks away. I'd suggest going into town for a place to eat. There were a number of quaint places to explore. Make sure to leave time to explore the town as there are a number of antique shops to look into.

Reliably superb Inn

We go to many different hotels and found Wallace Inn (Best Western) to be better than most at this price. Unusually large room, everything working and clean, bed was soft and supportive, extras like coffee maker, refrigerator, hair dryer, rubber bath mat, full-sized sofa sleeper in queen room, on-site restaurant. Free parking lot was huge and right off I-90 in town center. The clincher for joy-making was the pool center with atrium glass overhead and opening glass doors for ventilation, a great hot tub and two saunas -- dry and steam.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Just minutes from Wallace Inn are the thousands of off-road trails. We ride ATV's and found the location perfect. You can ride from the Inn. (See Idaho licensing for ATV plate $15.00).

overnighter

We had reserved two beds, but due to our late arrival, we were given 'left-overs.' We had 5 people and were given a room with one Queen and an extremely uncomfortable sofa bed. It was so bad, my kids took the mattress off of the sofa bed and put it on the floor. Parking with a trailer was a nightmare. We pulled up, before we had checked in and there were two local deputies out walking the street. When the clerk told us that if we parked on the street, we would get a ticket, she was not kidding. DO NOT SHOW UP LATE WITH A TRAILER IN TOW, YOU WILL HAVE NOWHERE TO PARK.

very clean, enjoyed the sauna and pool

Stayed there after riding the trail, the sauna was very nice addition. The staff was very friendly and the room very clean. There was an attached restaurant but we didn't eat there. Would have liked a continental breakfast with the room or discount for the restaurant.

Good hotel

About a 3 star hotel with a the dinning room that is very well appointed, but the food and service was very poor. The staff is untrained. The town has many Drinking Bars and much information about mining.
