Horrible service

The room we got was supposed to be a 3 person room with 1 king bed. we assumed there would be a pullout bed or couch as well. when we learned that there was not we asked the front counter staff if there was anything we could do about that. They told us we could get a blow-up mattress for our son, and they would bring it to our room right away. Two phone calls later, another stop by the front desk and 4 1/2 hours later they finally brought the mattress. There were no towels at the pool, and you are not supposed to bring the room towels. The service at the restaurant was also really bad. They brought us the wrong drinks, and overall service was the worst I have ever experienced.....

Keep Looking!

I am a local; this hotel is on the river, down the street and was a mark on our "places to stay" list. If all you want is a cup of non-steller coffee, in a PAPER CUP, when you get up in the mourning (without paying typical buffet/restaurant prices) you have found the right place. Ask questions!

Clean and quiet.

The most important aspect is that the room was clean. Beyond that, however, there are few advantages to staying here. The price is a high average for the quality of the room, but the neighborhood and rooms were quiet for a peaceful retreat. There is a refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker in the room and that help balance the lack of a continental breakfast. The on-site restaurant had a decent looking menu despite high prices for breakfast items (10.95 appeared to be the cheapest plate), however, when we went down to have breakfast at 6:10 am, we were told that the restaurant didn't open until 7. This seems abnormally late in the morning for any business travelers or those who with to get an early start.

G.W. Hunters offered an excellent breakfast solution. Just on the other side of the interstate, they offered a filling and delicious breakfast special with wonderfully friendly staff.

A good place to stay for a Coeur d' Alene vacation.

Our stay at the red lion Hotel was for a weeks vacation In Coeur d'Alene Idaho. the hotel is on the river with a Marina next door. There were many activities on the river including a nice beach across the river, and a park that has a waterfall nearby. The hotel was in a town called Post Falls, And was halfway between Spokane Washington and Coeur d'Alene. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were clean and everything worked. However, the televisions were the old massive televisions and not the new slim once - nonetheless, they work well. It has a small pool in an area that faces the river. A nice place to lounge around even if you don't want to go into the hot tub or the pool. It is a very comfortable, clean, and convenient place to stay. I would go there again when I'm back in the area.

Nice place. Good price.

My overall experience was good. The biggest problem we had was that the guests/ dogs in the room above us tromped around and the dogs barked. I was suprised they allowed pets. The bed could've been better but it was O/K. We used the pool, hot tub, and weight room. All were fine. They had live music a couple of nights but we could not hear it from our room, so no problems there. I would stay here again, but would stay on the 2nd floor.

Eat a steak at the Wolf Lodge Inn 10-15 minutes East of Coeur D' Alene. Best steak I have ever eaten and not expense. Call ahead for a reservation. We waited an hour to be seated, but it was worth it.

To soft of bed.

Bad time of year(fall)to go to this hotel, everything is closed for the season. The bed was way to soft and sheets did not fit the bed,so pritty much your sleeping on the bare mattress. We ended up checking out a day early and losing our money.
