Aweseome Pool

The pool is indoor, though it has a outdoor feel. Has a 1 foot deep area for the kiddos. The hallway to our room was smoke free- though it smelled like smoke walking down. Our room was clean, the bed was large. Overall was a good stay

nice hotel

We decide to book the hotel while visiting Lava hot springs because we could not find any promising place for overnight closer to Lave hot springs Room was nice and clean, everything functional with a pretty big size indoor pool. Hotel is close to freeway so it is very easy to find the way if you need to travel either North or South, which we needed because we did spend most of the day time at the hot springs. Only thing that i did not like 100% is pretty small bathroom even dough it is nice and functional.

Ok

This hotel was fine. Nothing extraordinary. I would've liked to have a free breakfast for being charged $100/night, but alas, it was not the case. Free internet though.

Had a fun time

It was fun, however the room wasn't very clean, I don't like the idea of glass coffee cups & drinking glasses (I have seen how they clean them). When I returned home I noticed some extra charges on my card from the hotel. I will check that out. Over all it was ok, but I don't think I will return anytime soon. They served a really good breakfast.

Nice and not too expensive

Clean, stylish, comfortable. The only thing I would change is the shower head. Not a terrific place for dinner at the hotel, but the hotel was pleasant for the price. Service was also friendly and helpful. The hot tub could have been a tad hotter and the swimming pool was beautiful but too cool for me.

Excellent for the money

Other reviews talk about it being dated, and dirty. I disagree about the dirty, it was VERY clean, did not smell. There was old cigarette burns on the bathroom counter, but that's the only evidence of smoke. It was a little outdated, but it's Pocatello, not Vegas. Pocatello has a failing economy, so it's no surprise that the hotels can't put millions into updates, not a conference capital these days. As for my trip, the bed was excellent, I like the atrium indoor pool/spa, which I had to myself both times I used them. The amenities all worked nice, housekeeping was great. The in hotel bar was great. The restaurant is no longer in business, but they use it for a continental breakfast, which was good, I ate there both morning. Overall very satisfied, would stay again, especially with what I paid.

Good price, nice employees, dirty room

The room came at a good price and the employees were friendly, but the room had some cleanliness issues. I found a wadded up, stale washcloth in the ice bucket that was covered in feces. It had obviously been in there awhile - not sure why no one had bothered to check or clean the ice bucket out. There were spiders in the bathroom and bedroom area. The sheets on one of the beds had several streaks of dirt.

Old hotel. Good Service

Service was very good. Restaurant hours were very restrictive. The rooms were "on sale" at $59 per day. I'd stay again at the price but would not pay anymore than that - there are nicer options at the $79 level.

Red Lion - Pocatello

Did not have the King Bed Room I reserved available so I had no option but to stay in a queen bed room that clearly used to be a smoking room because it definitely smelled like it. Got a king bed room the second night that was cleaner and did not smell like cigarette smoke. Wish I could have gotten what I reserved in the first place. The lady at the check in desk tried her best, but because the reservation was made online she wasn't able to "upgrade" my room, so I was forced to take a "downgrade" from what I reserved and paid for.
