Wi-fi foo-foo

Unable to get wi-fi started, and kept up during the first day. Extensive session with tech support. Still don't know what was wrong but it does work intermittently, I suspect due to weak signal strength.

good enough

We stayed here while traveling through. The rooms are small but clean and the price is right. We didn't get a chance to try the outdoor pool but it looked nice.

overnight stay

We have stayed at motel 6 for the past 4 years when we have gone to the simplot games. This year we were somewhat disappointed in the room as even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, it had the stale smell of a smoking room. We would also ask for a second floor room to avoid noise from above.

they charged me more than you quoted

you quoted me about 110 dollars for 2 days to stay, when I got there they charged me almost 50 dollars more, I showed them the confirmation I printed off. they said something about not applying or something. So that was kind of disappointing. not getting the true billing on line.

Convenient Location

This motel was conveniently located to the area that I chose to shop in. It was an easy in and out, even with heavy traffic and road construction. If you are looking for an inexpensive, no frills room, this works.

Not so good

The room was very dirty, the smell was awful and there was urine down the wall in the bathroom. I will never stay at this hotel again. For that type of room it was way to overpriced. It should have fit more into the $30.00 a night catergory.

Motel 6

A Hot tub would have been nice since it was raining all three days and the pool was outside. I had a new bottle of mouthwash and apparently the maid thought it contained alcohol because when we came home that day half of it was gone.

You get what you pay for

We were in Pocatello on family business, only there for the overnight. We checked in at 3 p.m., but were told the rooms were not yet cleaned, and to come back an hour or two later to pick up the keys to the room. Our business kept us until about 11 p.m., so we felt there was enough time to prepare the room. When we got to the check-in desk, there was one person working the desk, and they were trying to straighten out a booking mix-up with another customer, which took about another 15 minutes from the time I arrived. The desk clerk was clearly frazzled from this encounter, as well as a few calls from the rooms (one or two of them I gathered were complaints that the rooms were unable to dial local numbers on the room phones), but in a few minutes, the persons ahead of me in line all got the keys to our respective rooms. I received a call on my cell phone later, at 12:40 from the Front Desk asking if we were going to check in. I explained that we did, and were indeed in the room. At about 8:00 the next morning, there was a knock on the door. A worker explained they were notified the room was vacant, and they were to perform some maintenance on the room. At check out, I handed in the keys, but the person (the same person I check in with at 3:00 the previous day) seemed unsure that it was the correct room, so they asked for my name and number, like they needed some kind of verification. I'm not sure what the problem was, as they seemed to be understaffed for a holiday weekend with some events going on in town, and the shifts did not appear to inform each other of this unusual situation; surely management could have facilitated better communication between the shifts, and recognized the coming influx of occupants and scheduled the crew accordingly?

Good for a stop over and moving on.

While the room was comfortable, it left a little to be desired. There were two of us and we had time to view television for a while and nowhere to sit other than one chair and the beds. Also there was a 9:30 p.m. closure on the pool and that was about the time that we returned to the motel. I can see having a noise curfew, or age requirement after hours, but not closure, there is only swimming at your own risk anyway during the allowed hours. Why not let responsible, sober adults use the facility at any hour?
