Fishing Trip
My husband and I went to Lewiston for a fishing trip. We have stayed at the Guest House Inn years before. We find it a clean and friendly place. There is a really nice steak house called MacCallum's across the street. It is a wonderful place to eat. The location of the hotel makes it very easy to get around. The only negative is the bar located on the first floor it very smokey. We would recommended this hotel to our friends. It's not the Ritz, but it is a great value for your money.

Awesome
We went to Lewiston for a volleyball tournament and stayed here, and we loved it! Especially the breakfast. It was so good. And the staff was awesome. They were so friendly and down to earth. If we ever go to Lewiston again, this is definitely where we are staying.

Lovely

The staff were friendly, but the place had a bad smell in the hallway ofthe second floor. There was a lot of space in our room, but the smell was bad.

Super Chubbz
Not what we expected!
The hotel smelled old. The fitness center had a horrible smell so bad that we did not use it. The patio door was easily opened from the outside even when locked. The breakfast was awful. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Could be worse, maybe...
My biggest gripe is that I requested a non-smoking room, but the room I got smelled of stale old smoke. When I took a hot steamy shower, the bathroom ceiling was dripping brown liquid. I had to wipe the ceiling down myself to prevent any of it from dripping on me or my stuff. Quite gross... Freight train running just outside my window (about 15 feet away) at 11PM was actually scary. The entire building was shaking. The hotel might actually not be too bad if they actually have an non-smoking rooms. From my experience, I would say that the hotel is overpriced by about $40 to $45 per night. Oh yeah, parking can be hard to come by also. I got the last slot. Any later and I would have been parked out in the street, down the block.
