dissatisfied

We were there for our first honeymoon in seven years and to see family and the fireworks show, this place that we stayed in had unpleasant showers, the toilet was hard to flush and we did not get the room that we requested. basically it was not what we had expected and we were unhappy

This hotel made for the perfect weekend

This hotel was wonderful. Very clean, big room, the view was beautiful with the sounds also of the falls. The bed was very comfortable, so comfortable that we did not get out in time for the breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.

Older hotel in Great Location

Check-in was quick but awkward. It seems that this Red Lion is not spending a lot of time upgrading things. Our room was old and in the motel section of the hotel. Initially, I thought it would be a problem, but it was right across from the falls which was really nice. The room had a comfy bed and the wi-fi service works. However, I had to use a cocktail table for my laptop computer. The carpet was really old and even if it was clean, it sure didn't look it. The price was low which helped the whole situation, though I don't think I'd go back to this hotel (nor recommend it to others).

Great Location

Easy to find when traveling in an unfamiliar place and close by are many restraunts, walmart and gas stations easy freeway access as well. The hotel staff at night was very friendly but disliked the unprofessional day staff. Also some of the rooms are in the main tower and others are located away from the main building wich can be an inconvienece. The room was nice and comfortable.

THIS IS A RED LION?

WE CHOSE THE RED LION BECAUSE WE KNEW IT'S GOOD NAME AS WE HAVE ONE IN OUR AREA AND IT IS SWANKY. THE ROOM CHARGE WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE OF ALL, BUT WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE WORTH IT. WHEN WE GOT THERE (3 HOURS AFTER CHECK IN) OUR ROOM WASN'T READY. WE HAD TO WAIT IN THE LOBBY. THEN WHEN WE FINALLY GOT IN, THERE WERE ALL KINDS OF DIRTY SHEETS AND TOWELS ALL ALONG THE HALLWAY - NICE. THE MAID WENT BY AND SEEMED NOT HAPPY AND SAID IT WAS ONE HECK OF A DAY. I TRIED TO CALL MY SISTER (WHO WAS WATCHING OUR HOUSE) TO LET HER KNOW WE WERE THERE, BUT THE PHONES WERENT WORKING. WE WENT TO THE LOBBY TO TELL THEM TO TURN THEM ON, THEY SAID THE HOLE SYSTEM CRASHED. THE CARPETS WERE DIRTY - I DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO TAKE MY SHOES OFF. THE OVER-ALL LOOK OF THE HOTEL WAS DIRTY, AND VERY RUN DOWN. THE BEST THING ABOUT IT WAS THE FABULOUS VIEW WE HAD. WE ACTUALLY WANTED TO CHECK OUT AND GET A CLEAN HOTEL, BUT THE VIEW WAS THE BEST BY FAR. IT EVEN HAD A BALCONY, WHICH WAS DIRTY (OF COURSE) AND FLAKY PAINTED SCARILY SHAKY RAILING. BUT NO CHAIRS FOR WHICH TO ENJOY THE GREAT VIEW. WE WERE SO DISSAPOINTED.
