Beautiful hotel
We had planned to vacation in the area for several days. Unfortunately, our pet dog passed away unexpectedly and we had to leave early. The front desk people were so kind and helped make a bad situation better by making our check out process a breeze. That spoke volumes to us and we'll be back.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location!
My husband spent one week at this hotel for a work training session at the nearby county building, and my children and I came up to join him for a couple of nights at the end of his training. We booked one of the 2-room suites, since we travel with several small children. The room was huge, had a nice balcony with a beautiful view, new bathroom and sink fixtures, and very nice towels and linens. The continental breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of foods to choose from, something all the kids liked. The pool/spa room is gorgeous! We could've spent all day in the bright, open, mountain-rustic feeling room. This hotel is quiet, and in a great location, right next to McDonald's and a grocery store, also near town. The rooms are a little on the pricey side, especially for the suites, but we felt it was worth the money. Staff was friendly and very accomodating to our situation, allowing us to check into our room a few hours before regular check-in time. Thanks for a great stay!

Short walk from hotel
There are excellent (paved) walking/biking trails that are easily accessible from behind the hotel. They go all along the river and throughout the area, reaching up to Ketchum, and probably beyond. It's a beautiful area to get out and enjoy the outdoors. There is also a great park/play area for the kids on Bullion St., just a few blocks from the hotel. It's a huge, open park with picnic tables and benches galore, and a giant, castle-like play area, with swings and slides, etc.

Good room, bad breakfast!
Room was great, staff was helpful, But breakfast staff could not keep up with all the guests. It took me one trip to get a waffle, another to get sausage, another trip to get eggs. They only had one staff member restocking the food, and he could not keep up. He was trying hard, but it was a loosing battle.

This is a very clean, comfortable, quiet hotel that gives a great value in a high priced resort area. It is a short drive to Sun Valley and worth the effort to avoid the rather unrealistic prices associated with the name "Sun Valley".
