Nice stay

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The only surprise was they were not too clear about the $10 a day charge for parking. But $10 a day for parking at a downtown hotel is pretty cheap.

A Boise Standard

This is the first time we have stayed in this hotel. It is probably the best known hotel in the area. It is starting to show it's age but is a nice place for a special occasion. Perfect location although you can hear some activity in the arena below when there is an event going on.

No Warnings

Apparently this hotel books a Fandemonium convention twice a year and as a result, the place is a zoo. Unfortunately for myself and other business guests, no one told us about it or suggested that we stay elsewhere. We couldn't find parking, there were exceedingly long waits for elevator service, the concierge and desk staff were rude, the interenet service was overloaded and kept blacking out . . . I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Don't stay at this hotel when they have a convention because they don't seem to care about their other guests.

Great getaway

My husband and I stayed at the Grove Hotel over the Fourth of July weekend. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the room was tastefully decorated and very clean, the staff was so friendly, and the location was perfect for us. We will definitely be returning to the Grove Hotel in the future!

Hotel Get-Away

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away and just relax in a hotel for a few days with no worries. We thought that The Grove would be a great place to do that. Its within walking distance to almost everything downtown and is usually a pricey hotel (we thought that meant it would be top-notch almost luxurious...we were wrong). The tv was old and had a bad picture, also didn't even have a hdmi input (most tvs these days do) so we couldn't hook up our computer to watch Netflix as there were very limited channels as well. Also, the internet was horrible and extremely slow (may have something to do with us being on the 7th floor, but that shouldn't be an issue). There is not a digital thermostat to control the temperature. There was however an analog thermostat type thing that didn't tell you the temperature, but we had it set on the coldest setting and were still quite hot. Parking is a pain in the butt, that is almost always the case in down town anyway. Needless to say for the price we paid we were not impressed. Next time we will definitely stay at a Holiday Inn.

stayed at Grove as I thought was 'nicest' hotel in area but it was just OK, nothing special and more expensive than others plus had to pay for parking.
