Budget hotel with many extras, convenient to interstate and airport

Good 20 Years Ago....
If we were travelling back in time this property would have met the muster in 1985.....Dated with nothing special to offer. Staff was meeting the requirements of an 8 hour shift, no extra effort here. Shilo needs a face lift and a secret shopper program to see what's going on out there :-(

Improvement Needed
The check in clerk was not a warm welcoming sort and went through the motions to get me checked in. I was then given the wrong room requested and she once again was not too happy to have to reaccommodate me. The evening and check out staff were very friendly and nice. The room was clean and comfortable and we all rested well. The breakfast was weak and we had to ask for more items. The houskeeping was not done until 5:00pm at which time there was a knock on the door even though the do not disturb sign was posted. I refused it because we were resting before going out again. They had all day to make up the room. Sorry folks. This was my first experience with a Shilo Inn and unless I really have no choice I will stay elsewhere next time I go to Boise.

I liked having a fitness room, free wi-fi and access to a computer 24/7. I was told there would be a menu item in the morning and when it wasn't there and I asked a different clerk, I was told it would be there that day or the next because it had to do with the number of outlets. It wasn't there. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great location
I was in Boise for a family funeral. The accomodations were clean and comfortable. I could have used some hair conditioner after shampooing, but there is a quick stop just a short walk away and was able to get what I needed there.

Theft
Some of my belongings were stolen by housekeeping. Management promised to investigate the matter, but they haven't returned my calls, emails, or faxes. I've opened a dialog with my lawyer regarding possible courses of action.

Great Business stay...
