The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The help was great and was very helpful. I needed some copies of documents and they were willing to make the copies for me.

Convenient and Clean
I was in town to race a 70.3 (triathlon) and was glad to have all sorts of in-room amenities such as a fridge, microwave & a coffee maker. The room was clean, spacious and although my window faced the highway, it was still fairly quiet (minus the occasional very loud motorcycle). This hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are traditional to contemporary now. The bathroom is also spacious and has plenty of room to store toiletries. The staff was incredibly pleasant esp. considering that I FedEx'd my big bike box to them and had them help me send it back home as well. The hotel is also a short drive from downtown but if you don't want to get in the car in order to go out, then stay downtown. Otherwise there is chain restaurant w/in walking distance of this Hampton (and no, I didn't eat there).

Time-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
The hotel is literally on the other side of the highway from the airport, which is great for those early morning fights.

great location, room, and price
Hampton is known for the excellent bed quality which was important on the somewhat stressful trip we took. We were pleased also with the location right off the freeway and proximity to downtown Boise. It was easy to go check out a good restaurant in our limited time. We rebooked the same Hampton on the way back because it was perfect for our situation.

nothing special
We weren't notified that there would be construction so the lobby was a disaster. The pool and fitness center were out of use due to the construction. We had been on a week long journey from the pacific coast to the mid west and back and this was the bottom of the list as far as the hotels we stayed at. I would recommend this hotel to a friend if the construction was finished.

Why can't I find a bed this comfortable?
The day before my flight I had called to let them know when I'd arrive at the airport. They told me to call when I got in. I called and they told me that the courtesy van was not available and to hop a Boise City Taxi and they would pay for it. There was taxis there (none from that company) and had to be called. When I arrived at the hotel they informed me that the first floor was being remodeled and so the pool and exercise room was unavailable. Everytime you left the building you had to walk through the construction. Had I known all of this prior to my trip I could have stayed in another location. It would have been nice if they would have offered me a discount due to the inconvenience. I normally stay at this hotel while in Boise but was disappointed this trip.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is an Applebee's just a short walk from the hotel and if you feel like taking a longer walk you can go across the freeway (towards the airport) for a Denny's or a restaurant called the Kopper Kitchen. Nicer establishments are a little further away.

Enjoyable night
The Hampton Inn, Boise was a great night. We had a airport departure for 6 AM the following morning. There is an Applebee resturant across the street and we enjoyed our evening meal. We enjoyed the stay and will stay again in the future.
