There was some confusion on the reservation, room had not been heated when we entered was very cold. Then they tried to rent room to someone else. Otherwise was clean and staff was personable.

I had stayed here before, I had not noticed the smoke smell before. I have allergies and this made it difficult for me to sleep.

Hotel was near to many restaurants and to Hawkeye Community College where I worked for a week. The rooms are pretty large and they had a guest appreciation night on Thursday with free food.

You could walk to a couple nice restaurants and it was only a short drive to others.

nice place to be in a strange town
I would say I have never stayed at a hotel that I felt safer in.Side doors locked most of the time and very well lit at night. Very spaceus room with every thing you could ask for. Never been in a cleaner hotel! I will look for a Country Inn & Suites in my up coming travels. It was only a few miles from every thing I needed.

Friendly staff & clean
Country Inn staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean was a spacious king size bed. Breadfast in the morning provided a variety of items and ample area to sit and relax. Definately worth a return visit.
