Stayed one night after a race. The room had a little bit of a musty smell, but came out of it after the air conditioner ran a while. Average motel, about what I expected, 2 1/2 stars is about right. This particular weekend is difficult to find a
room, so you get what you can find. I would stay here again if needed, but there are better ones in the area.
Although I was in a non-smoking room, the cigarette smoke in the hallways was so strong, I had to stuff a towel in the crack under my door to keep it from invading my room. Toilet ran. Door stop was broken and other minor defects were annoying,
too. Continental breakfast lacked protein of any kind and very limited choices otherwise. The front desk staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful for the most part, but they couldn't make up for the other bad experiences.

Try the many local restaurants and bakeries on the Square. The Vermeer Mill is worth touring. The town is charming and the people are friendly and helpful.
