Super 8 Orange City

This hotel was the worst I have stayed at for many years. It was noisy, hear the floors creek. Can't even get a cup of coffee at 5:30 am because the gate between the lobby was closed. Feel like a prisoner there. The owner was rude, when asked if I could have a later check out he replied no! You have to check out by 11am no exceptions. This was so that after my job interview I could change out of my suit before driving 300 miles back home. He said the girls have to clean the rooms and if I did come back maybe they would allow me change in a dirty room. I had expected to be there before 11:30 and as it turned out the interview was over at 11am I could have went there and been done before 11:30 but I chose just to get in my car and go home. Also his wife behind the desk asked me if that was my car parked in the second spot toward the front door, I said yes, she told me I would have to move it because the owner has to plug in his Mercedes. It's not even marked as a reserved spot. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. Sad it's only one of two hotels there in Orange City Iowa. I would rather sleep in my car next time if I go back. I wish I could get a refund!

I visit this community 2-3/yr, and always find this motel clean, the staff courteous, and location convenient to the places I need to be. The motel has soft water, free WiFi, microwaves and fridges in each room. The beds are comfortable. There are various eating spots in the area, even a movie theatre across the road. The hospital is on the same street.
