pleasant stay
The hotel staff was very pleasant. The rooms were updated and clean. Very comfortable lounge chair and good water pressure in the shower. We would stay again

One day trip
I will have to say that the location is great. However, the hotel needs a lot of work and air freshener. The room was very tiny and the heat was hard to control. If you just need a place to sleep this would be ok but even the bed are very hard to sleep in. The pillows were nice and fluffy but the sheets were so rough that I went out and bought on of my own. I do not think i will stay here again next month when I go back i rather pay a higher rate for a better hotel.

Jumping jack
Good location for Mason CIty but......
The hotel really needs a face lift and some cleaning. While it is in a very good location for Target, Fleet Farm and the Fairgrounds it is lacking in front desk service and cleaning.

Our trip was for pleasure. All we needed was a place to sleep. When we arrived we could not get a roll away bed until 9 p.m. [...]. We had to pay another $10 for it. Another trip to the desk to get extra towels he brought up later. The shower was luke warm at best. Not the best hotel we have stayed at.

The room had been recently upgraded--nice! Free breakfast was toast, juice, rolls, cereal, coffee. Scared during night when someone actually opened deadbolted door. Chain stopped them. Learned in a.m., management opened door, without checking room number, for customer who thought it was their room and didn't acknowledge it to me with an apology.

Clean and adequate for a low price.
THis is the smallest room I've ever had, but it was just me, so adequate. The television offered plenty of choices, and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was very sparse, but again, for the price it was adequate.

Would not stay here again.
The hotel was conveniently located but I would not stay here again. The rooms were not clean and the carpet was nasty (there was no way I walked around without shoes on). The whole hotel reeked of nasty food. Defiantly not a 2 star hotel and not worth the price we paid.
