For the price the hotel was a great deal. The hotel is close to the airport but otherwise there is not much by. Next time I will probably choose a hotel closer to downtown and shopping.

Standard Hampton Inn, Clean, Good Value.
Good location next to airport. Clean room, lobby, etc. Typical continental breakfast. Worth the price.

Value doesn't get any better
From the moment we checked in this was a great hotel experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, and for a neat freak like myself that is always very important. As for the beds, they were beyond heavenly. The breakfast is not gourmet but it IS very good and there are a variety of choices. I would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend this hotel to a friend or family member.

If you stay there and have time to go out to eat, go to Skip's. For an appetizer, get the onion rings. Fabulous! good food, service and ambiance.

Very solid hotel
We stayed for one night while visiting the Iowa State Fair. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, very nice experience. The bed was fantastic, the pull out office desk was a nice touch. The common areas of the hotel were clean and appropriate. Overall, definitely recommended if you need a relatively convenient hotel in DSM. We didn't use the airport, but the location of the hotel is perfect for that, and does appear to offer a shuttle service.

Will Not Hesitate to Ever Stay Again!!
We looked for hotels near Summer Jam @ Water Works Park. Price was right here as well as the distance. Plenty of restaurants and shopping near by. Our hesitation was it was right across from the airport. Not a big worry at all. Stayed 2 nights and only heard 1 plane. Several baseball teams were there for tournaments, but hardly knew they were there. No need to look further. Clean and plenty of space in our King bed room.

Staff was very helpful at check-in and check-out. Nice recommendations for dinner. Ate at Mezzodi's. Good Italian/American food.

Solid Hotel at Airport
Comfortable room. Has all the amenities I need. I like the free airport shuttle and free wifi. Free breakfast is a bonus too. Hotel staff was great.

Great location

Very convenient to the airport
Outside of being awakened at 6 am by the people next door, this is a great hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast on Sunday a.m. was disappointing -- as bacon was over cooked and cold. Cut Fruit was not fresh -- all canned. Oranges, apples & bannanas available. Room was very tight for four adults -- but it is a place to sleep!!!

The Machine Shed!!!! Call ahead for seating --- but fantastic food. Probably a 20 mintue drive and reasonalblly priced!
