Nice pool space
Comfortable beds. Lovely pool with towels available. Wish there had been at least enough coffee for two cups. Room was clean. Bathroom is small but has a nice shower head. Missed having a mini fridge. Comfy reading chair and little table. Only complaint is that doors in the hall latch so loudly that they kept waking me p because I thought someone was opening and closing our door.

Great Family stay
It was an easy location to get to. The staff were real nice and helpful My wife left something in the car that they had parked for us and the staff member ran to the car and retrieved the item plus my wifes cell phone which she had also left in the car. The kids had a great time in the pool and wanted to stay extra day.

Clean, quiet, friedly.
With its central SkyWalk attached location, this was a high value stay. Great restaurant and fairly recently-remodeled rooms were huge plusses and I'd definitely stay again.

Short drive from hotel
Mercy and Methodist Hospitals are close-by. The skywalk network was pretty impressive, too, especially given how cold it was (20 degrees)outdoors.

HORRIBLE
we came down for the George Strait concert a day early, had a 2-day stay planned at the hotel. No general hotel parking, valet parking was eiighhteenn/day (ridiculous) our other option was park a couple blocks over in a ramp and walk there, but at least it was free! we arrived in our room, dropped our luggage, & noticed the bedding was all feathers, which I am extremely allergic to. My husband called the frontdesk, they said they would change it, so we went out to dinner, came back, checked the pillows & they were good. About 2 hours after we went to bed I woke up unable to breathe with hives all over, turns out they changed the pillows but NOT the down comforter. There was no other option for blanket in the room! I got so sick we had to go home to MN the next day and sell our tix to the concert we'd driven 4 hours to see! They did not care that I was sick on their account, no apologies and no refund of the 2nd nites stay we had to give up. Besides that, it was SUPER loud. It sounded like there were drag races going on in the streets, little kids were running through the hallway screaming all morning[...]. NEVER AGAIN.

If you're looking for dinner or entertainment in Des Moines... Good Luck! Most of the restaurants and stores were closed by 6-7 on Fridays and Saturdays and closed on Sundays.

Great location downtown
I went to the room by myself and was waiting for the bell boy to arrive. The bathroom had not been completely cleaned as there was a used wash rag hanging over the shower. I called right away and they gave me a new room. The bell boy escorted me there. That room was clean but much smaller than the original room. The bell boy called for me and I was moved to another room identical to the first room except clean. I didn't get an upgrade for my inconvenience, but I did get a clean room. Of course I felt I had to tip the bell boy more for moving me around to 3 different rooms but he was polite and helpful.
