Noisy bar crowd
Checked in at 11:00, hotel staffer was surly. Although the hotel was not crowded they placed us in a room right above the entrance to the bar. Noisy young adults coming and going and smoking right under our window. Called front desk and they said they would address the problem. Noise continued, and because phone was broken had to walk down to front desk. Different staffer offered us another room and we finally got to sleep well after midnight.

Good hotel for the money.
There was nothing fancy about this hotel, but a very fair price for the stay. We stayed at this motel while spending the weekend in Des Moines to do some Christmas shopping. We were not in the room for a lot of the time, but found it to meet our needs just fine. The hot tub was HOT and that is hard to find anymore. The front desk was friendly. The room and hallways were clean. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was basic with waffles, cereal, fruit, and muffins. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean room at an affordable rate.

They remembered me...
My experience was a good one. I didn't need total luxury, just a room for a night. However my stay was going to be another night and in asking for a room, they knew who I was, helped me out to get another room and even when I finally checked out, they knew treated me like family in knowing that I was special ....

DAYTONA'S SPORTS BAR IS A GOOD PLACE OR ACRROSS THE ROAD IS A BENNIGAN'S WHICH IS ALSO A NICE PLACE.

It wasn't anything great! The workers weren't all that friendly. I was glad we didn't go there just for swimming because it was overrated!

Affordable and convenient
obviously an older motel but had new carpeting, was clean and had all the necessary amenities (ie. microwave, fridge, hairdryer, coffeemaker, etc.) Location was perfect for attending the NCAA nationals track and field meet at Drake University. Would recommend to anyone.

Passing Through
Better than it looked.
The hotel looked a little dumpy when we pulled into the parking lot. But it was clean, had a a fine swimming pool, and a hardy breakfast; perfect for a quick overnight stay while traveling.
