Super 8 Council Bluffs IA Omaha NE Area

We stayed at the Council Bluffs Super 8 for one night while we spent an evening at the casinos close by. Our room was clean, and the hotel staff friendly and helpful. It was a great, no-frills overnight experience.

Well if you are traveling for business and using your company's card don't book it online as you'll have to show your company's card when you get there (which most people commonly don't carry). So I had to cut into my personal funds to pay for the room. The towels were stained and dirty, it smelled horrible, the water coming out of the sink and shower were disgusting, and who know what else I didn't pick up on. On top of that the front desk staff was entertaining either their or their friend's kids (they were NOT guests) and asking them for anything seemed like you were bothering them by making them work. When I brought up the issue with the use of a company card the front desk attendant was very rude and I heard them make a snide comment and laugh with their friends (some of whom didn't work there, were just hanging out in the lobby) when they thought I was out of ear shot. To sum it up - I'll take this one straight to Super 8 corporate so maybe the next time you book here they'll address these problems. We'll see, though.

Very busy weekend with a wrestling event and some sort of softball tournament. Not very restful on Friday night. Too loud in the parking lot with guys drinking and cursing. Friendly and helpful staff, but food was limited on Saturday unless you just wanted toast and juice. First time in Council Bluffs.

Small rooms annd not very clean. Someone had a dog in their room and it barked during the night. The remote for the TV was disgusting. The continential breakfast was not anything special, not as good as many chain hotels.

just a place to sleep

It was my sister's birthday so a few friends & I spent the night on the town & came back to the hotel & celebrated for a while longer. We were quiet & respectful as were everyone else at the hotel. In the morning we called and asked for late check out and they were very willing to allow that.

On this trip we wanted to go to the casinos in Council Bluffs, this was nearby, with a great restaraunt right across the street.

The Super 8 is not so great but it is a decent place to rest your head for a few days. If you need no great amenities and just want a cheap goto, pick this chain.

forgot my wireless earpiece and charger set. got down the road about 20 miles, called back to inform them and that i was having some one pick it up within the hour. SO i know it was there as i told them where i left it, (hanging over the tv set in the room), they still have the nerve to say it wasnt there. i hope you enjoy it whomever the new owner is...... also, the floor was very damp, not sure if they just shampooed it or not, but there was a very musty odor in the room.
