Microtel Inn Council Bluffs

Basic room is very small, some small areas of mold on the shower curtain. Woman that checked us in did not greet us, but simply said "Reservation?". No alarm clock in our room - when we asked they said they didn't have extras, and would have to talk to the owner. They did find us one the next day. Wireless internet and HBO were both off and on throughout our weekend. When asked, the front desk simply said - "yeah, that happens." Not expecting a four star place, but like they say... it's the little things!

The hotel was nice and clean, the room was great. I was excited to discover that the breakfast includes make-your-own waffles, so the breakfast bar gets 5 stars from me. Although, I was sitting in the lobby watching Good Morning America, enjoying my waffle, when a front desk clerk *RUDELY* turned the channel at a pivotal moment of high intensity when something really good was just about to happen. They could have asked the guests or waited until the commercial break to turn the channel, but no they did not. I was most unappreciative of that.

The room was clean and hotel was well maintained. Breakfast selection was very good.

Clean room with modern furnishings, microwave and fridge. Large flatscreen samsung tv and desk area. Loads of cable channels. Nice breakfast and fitness room. Safe area near Bass Pro Store and AMC movie theater. We would certainly stay here again!

The hotel is very well maintained and looks new. The woman who checked me in was very helpful as I was totally new to the area and on a business trip. She offered restaurant locations and even made a few copies for me! The breakfast was well stocked. I stayed 2 nights and overall was a great experience...the only downfall and it was a MAJOR one was the walls are very thin and you can hear EVERYONE coming and going out of their rooms all hours of the day and night, including conversations in the hallway. It kept me awake each night.

The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to do whatever you needed. I asked for some copies to be made and they took care of the entire packet of papers front and back without batting an eye. Excellent customer service and highly recommended!

went to the omaha zoo which is short drive from hotel. only complaint is that is is not easy to turn into hotel when coming from north.

The hotel was truly "OK". We were only in for 2 nights and didn't need a lot of room because we didn't bring our kids. The room was very utilitarian and there was barely room for 2 adults to get ready for the day. It was so hot; we would have loved to just dip in the pool each evening but it closed at 9pm (we had just stayed at a nearby Country Inn Suites 2 weeks ago; the pool was open to 11pm). The breakfast lacked any other hot food besides biscuits & gravy (but you had to get there early). There were crickets in the room (due to the heat) and when guests smoked outside the front door, it would be sucked in by the A/C units. The best thing: it actually billed out lower than when I booked it so it became worth the price.

In town to find an apartment for my son, a new student at Creighton. Room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Outside it was 110 degrees, inside it was cool and a great retreat.
