The fitness center is touted as being 'state of the art' - that is laughable. If you care about having a decent place to exercise during your travels - do not stay here.

Romance
Just the two of us getaway
The room was so much more than we were expecting! The bed was so comfortable, also enough nice soft pillows to boot! Well arranged great flat screen with web tv! Refrigerator nicely placed in a cabinet. Good quality soaps, shampoos ect. The buffet was excellent AND clean! I almost want to give it a five star, for the area and state but I have been to Vegas and stayed at Caesars so a HIGH four stars, especially for the price!

Short drive from hotel
Such a short distance to The Historic Haymarket, Bass Pro Shop any many other interesting places. If you just want to gamble, have a choice of resturants (NEAT top floor steak house and bar above hotel area ONLY) and/or room service, valet parking a nice little romantic get away WITH jacuzzi in room this IS the place. SO nice and quiet on the hotel floors.

Solid but a few issues
We had a good 3 day trip to Omaha for my sisters graduation from Creighton. The hotel is in a good location not too far across the river from the city. Taxi to city was between 10-15 minutes and the front desk was nice enough to call for one when we called down to them. The main issue with the hotel is the strong cigarette odor... it is really bad and if you have a rough time with smoke you shouldn't stay here. We requested rooms higher up and on the 8th floor it wasn't as bad, but the smoke was still pretty nasty. The indoor connection to the casino was great and we had a good time there. Our shower didn't drain real well but otherwise the room itself was in good shape and we had no other issues there. There is plenty of parking in the lot. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Make sure you check out the old market district/area of Omaha, it was great, lots of restraunts and shopping.

Great mini-vacation
Harrah's is in a great central location for many tourist hot spots. Three minutes to Old Market, Five minutes to the Zoo, Three minutes to the Greyhound Race Track (whata blast). The hotel staff was polite and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was a little too soft for me but my wife enjoyed it. However, I do enjoy a good, free continental breakfast which Harrah's does not offer.

Definitely go to the dog races before it gets closed down due to lack of interest. You can ride Harrah's shuttle bus to the Horse Shoe casino and the race track is on the back side.

The hotel was great. But they never received the reservation through [...]. It took over 2 hours to get the situation resolved while my son waited in the lobby hoping that there would be rooms left

VERY NICE STAY
STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. SHUTTLE TO AND FROM AIRPORT AND TO THE HORSESHOE WERE A BONUS AND DRIVERS WERE VERY NICE. THE ACE CAFE WAS AWESOME...ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY NEED TO OFFER A SMALLER PORTION OPTION FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT EAT THAT MUCH. YOU COULD FEED 2-3 OFF OF ONE ORDER! THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT!
