Motel 6

Check in was easy and fast. Room was clean. I think this room is normally cheaper but on a football weekend they jack it up to $107. Still it worked for us.

Great location

Vent fan very noisy. Notified clerk. A tiny spot of blood on sheet. Notified clerk.

adequate, but very noisy

The room was very small (to be expected, given the price) and the carpeting was badly in need of a steam cleaning. There were multiple stains on the little exposed surface of the floor - kind of gross. The bedspread had a cigarette burn in it (in a non-smoking room!). All of the rest of the room was spotless, from sheets to counter surfaces to bathroom. The hotel has very little noise barriers or buffers, so you hear everyone who passes your room (which opens to the outside), even when they are talking quietly. Consequently, you may want to check and see what conventions (ie Anime Iowa) will be in town while you are staying there! There was not enough parking for all of the guest rooms, so upon returning to the hotel for the evening, I had to park on the other (back) side of the hotel, even though my room was on the front side. This was very inconvenient, as I was traveling with three small dogs.

Oh, what a night

couldn't sleep...didnt' dare. The room smelled funny, the bath and bed weren't clean and I would've had a better sleep in the car. Should've planned better.

So / So

The only had one problem. I showed up at 3 pm and they did not had a room clean for me. After driving 6 hours it would be nice to relax for awhile. Otherwise everything was great.

Clean, good location

When it's the only hotel available...

The rooms smelled like a sewer that had backed up and were not very clean. The pillows were slightly thicker than the pillow cases that held them. The room price was maximized due to it being graduation weekend in a college town. Definitely not worth the "discount" to stay there. However, staff was very friendly at the front desk during check in and the internet access for $2.99 a day was not the worst I have had to deal with.
