ICK!!

The location to the campus was good. However, the bath tub did not have a drain stopper at all. When I asked for a stopper for the tub, the front desk handed me a paper cup and a face towel to stuff in the drain!! The towels were thin and grey in color. The ice machine did not work at all. The breakfast choices were horrible, fattening and very poor nutritional value. I had to stay for 2 nights because of Parents' Weekend and prepaying. The parking was inadequate and I had to park in the vacant store lot next store.

Would not stay here again

Pillow cases were dirty along with bedding. A very bad musty smell in the room. Loud party next store until 4am. No help from the hotel.

cheap and convenient

Needed a cheap hotel for a weekend instead of driving 2 hours each way for 3 days. This hotel is just what was advertised. Very close to everything in Iowa City/Coralville area.

traveling through

The towels were dingy white, hair on the bathroom floor. The blanket on the bed had "dried stuff" all over it, I can only imagine. Non-smoking room...didnt smell like it. The bed was actually comfortable.

A stay above expectation in a foreign land

I flew in with my daughter from a south east asia country for a 6-night stay at DaysInn to enrol her for the undergraduate program at the University of Iowa. The staff were very friendly and helpful despite without laundry facilitity ; offered to provide free laundry service. The room was clean and quite comfortable despite the aircon compressor noise when it turned on. The noise could wake you up in the middle of the night. May be it is time to change to a newer type with very low noise. Overall, it is good value for money.

Try the buffet lunch at the Beijing Chinese Restaurant ; it costs $6.99 and you can eat till you drop.

Coralville 2 day trip

Well Worth the price, normal hotel, exactly what you would expect from a motel, normal cleanliness, normal smelling, decent service and good location. Well recommended
