Short stop over
Helpful desk with a smile. Very clean and comfortable room. Decent free breakfast. Quick and easy check out. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Good stay
Paid an average price for this hotel. Thought was a decent price due to having queen beds. Once arrived, beds were found to be rather hard and mattress on one had a hole in it under the pillow. Front staff was very friendly and there was a refrigerator in the room which was a plus. No fruit on the breakfast which was surprising. Would recommend if the beds were better but didn't get much sleep.

Not as expected
Booked a kitchenette.Got one but it was useless. You would think a hotel with a kitchenette would make it so it could be used right.Well they dont.There are no pots pans or dinnerware.I purchased food and thought I would save a little money on eating out and eat healthier ,well that did not work.Also the fidge was useless as it had 3 inces of ice build up and neede a defrost.I had to return the food to the store,really embarrasing.I complained to the general manager to no avail.She said we dot advertise dinnerware only kitchenette.Thats a lie the website clearly says dinnerware.She would not offer and compensation or upgrade.She thinks this is fine,everyone travels with pots plates and flatware dont you know. Also the breakfast was from 7 to 10 at 9 it was about empty. The good now,rooms dated but clean,the bed comfortable. The pool decent a bit dirty and the hot tub large hot but also a bit dirty. Think twice.

Amana colony ,nice shops, nice restaurants, bed and breakfast,antique shops ,tours etc. Godd for a day trip.

Convenient to the University
Friendly desk attendant;Room had a smokey smell at first-not sure I asked for non-smoking so may not be their fault. It dissipated quickly. Fridge and MW in room. No bathmat. Great breakfast. Pool looked great but no opportunity to use it.

Nice stay.
It was a clean and quiet room. Lots of other travelers, but never heard them. The free continetal breakfast was the standard hotel one, but was adequate. I would stay again.

Great, quiet hotel
Nice, clean hotel. They pride themselves on quiet rooms, and they were right! Pool was also nice. I'd never heard of AmericInn before, and was very pleased!

Simple and centrally located
We ended up in a handicap room, which always makes for an interesting stay. The room was alright. It was simple and basic, but it seemed a little "crusty" too--perhaps that was due to the musty smell. The location was perfect for a daytrip to Cedar Rapids and for Iowa football.
