The staff was very friendly and accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed and ensured a speedy check-in and ... check-out. Our room was spotless with a whirlpool spa and it was fabulous! Updated decor, well-stocked room, fantastic temperature for the spa, quiet atmosphere (and there was a bus of kids there, though we never heard them). I felt safe and welcome in this hotel! It was very easy to find and about 10-15 minutes away from downtown Des Moines. There were many restaurants within walking distance and the internet was really quick! I would definitely stay here again, whether for business, family getaway, or a romantic stay with my husband! Wonderful hotel!

Downtown Des Moines: Splash Seafood Bar and Grill. Pricey, but worth it! Excellent service, incredible food and just across the street from the Civic Center. Just make sure you go at least 2 hours before a show so that you make it in time!

The hotel staff were very helpful. we had forgotten to bring directions to various places we were going to visit. the staff ... (more than once) printed out directions for us. the hotel was very quiet and very clean

Basic accomodations, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable at a good price. Non-smoking hotel. Took a nice morning jog on ... nearby bike path; fitness room has two treadmills, rowing machine, and all-in-one pulley-weight machine. Lots of restaurants nearby and helpful desk staff made suggestions.

Our room was clean. The hotel was quiet at night, even with a Little League team staying there! But the hallways were ... dirty. Small popcorn pieces were present on the carpet up and down the hallways, in addition to small pieces of paper and cellophane. Breakfast was good, with a large selection. The only problem was that the toaster was in an adjoining room, not on the breakfast bar with the other food.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were impressed with how clean the hotel was. The rooms were very comfortble alhtough a ... refrigerator would have been a nice addition. The compimentary breakfast was excellent with a nice variety of choices. I really liked the fresh waffles. They had a full attendant in the breakfast area to make sure that there was always plenty of each item available. It was easy to get to right off the interstate and there were lots and a nice variety of eating establishments nearby.
